EFEITO DO IMPLANTE INTRAVAGINAL DE PROGESTERONA NA TAXA DE PRENHEZ DE NOVILHAS NELORE 黄体酮阴道内植入对内洛尔小母牛妊娠率的影响

One of the factors of great viability and economic return within the livestock is the optimization, through biotechnologies, that aim to improve the reproductive index in heifers. Fixed Time Artificial Insemination (IATF) has numerous advantages. Hormonal protocols were developed to control the estrous cycle in bovine breeders and to regulate ovarian follicular dynamics, synchronizing calving periods and better herd organization. The objective of this study was to analyze the efficiency of the use of the 3rd use and single dose progesterone device in nellore heifers. Two groups of heifers were separated, and one group used single dose implant and another group multidose implant (3rd use). It was verified that the animals protocoled with single dose implant presented superior result.
