To verify the apparent large enhancement of the radiative strength func(cid:2) tion in light and medium nuclei(cid:3) the (cid:0)(cid:2) Fe(cid:4)n(cid:3)(cid:5)(cid:0)(cid:6) (cid:0)(cid:3) Fe reaction was measured(cid:7) The two(cid:2)step cascade intensities with soft primary transitions con(cid:8)rm the en(cid:2) hancement(cid:7) The combined results have been published in Physical Review Letters and featured in the Physics News Update(cid:7) A study of the (cid:4) (cid:4) He(cid:3) (cid:4) He(cid:6) and (cid:4) (cid:4) He(cid:3)(cid:2)(cid:6) reactions performed on (cid:5)(cid:5)(cid:3)
