Introduction the process of aging produces physiological changes that lead to organ dysfunction and failure of a particular organ or body system. The type of disease in the aging process is a degenerative disease. One of them is Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 which can affect the quality of life of the sufferer and can pose a risk of complications that lead to amputation, blindness, and kidney failure. Some of the problems that can arise can be controlled by applying self-management behavior to the disease. Research Purpose was to determine the relationship between self-management behavior and fasting blood sugar levels in the elderly with type 2 diabetes mellitus at Posbindu Mawar Jatibening Baru. Research method uses descriptive correlation. The number of samples was 50 elderly people with type 2 DM who were taken using the total sampling technique. Results of the statistical test showed that the most dominant results were in the 45-59 age group with 37 people (74%), 33 women (66%) and 43 elderly people with diabetes mellitus (86%). Low self-management behavior as many as 31 people (62.0%) and the elderly who have abnormal fasting blood sugar levels as many as 26 people (52.0%). P_value = 0.024 or
