This review will discuss the possible limitation of CrM (weight gain and body water retention)in its implications onphysical activity (PA),where bodyweight influences athletic physical performance. Thus, we will propose CrHCl as an alternative Cr supplement source for the athlete’s population, which has weight gain restrictions. Finally, we will indicate several research questions that must be Abstract: Creatine monohydrate (CrM) supplementation is not recommended for athletes with weight-gain restriction due to its significant water retention adverse effect. Because of this CrM limitation, creatine hydrochloride (CrHCl) was presented in the market. Compared to CrM, CrHCl possesses a different pharmacokinetic and, in theory, could not promote weight gain similar to CrM. However, several aspects related to the stability and efficiency of this new CrHCl molecule need to be investigated and compared to the traditional CrM. This article reviewed the experimental articles that evaluated both weight and body water gain after CrM or CrHCl supplementation. Also, we discuss the possible limitation on performance enhancement of CrM in physical activities where bodyweight influences performance. We will propose CrHCl as an alternative creatine supplement source for the athlete’s population, which has weight-gain restrictions. Finally, we will indicate several research questions that must be answered before the CrHCl recommendation for the population of athletes with weight gain restrictions.

Physical Fitness, Hemodynamic Parameters and Body Fat Percentage in Urban Cameroonian Adolescents with Normal Weight and Overweight/Obese 喀麦隆城市正常体重和超重/肥胖青少年的身体健康、血液动力学参数和体脂率

: This study aims to assess the effects of overweight/obesity on the physical fitness and hemodynamic parameters in urban Cameroonian adolescents aged 11 to 18. Thus, a sample of 804 participants, namely: 282 boys and 532 girls was taken and divided into two groups according to their Body Mass Index. The first group consisted of 534 normal-weighted participants (66.42%) and the second of 270 overweight participants (33.58%). Individual cards were used to collect anthropometric, hemodynamic and physical fitness data from adolescents. Results shown significant difference in systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and resting heart rate between normal-weighted and overweight participants (P>0.05). Moreover, significant increase (p˂0.05) in Hand grip strength and Sit-ups for 30 sec associated with a decrease in 10×5-m shuttle run test and Standing broad jump test were observed in overweight adolescents of both sexes at all age groups. In addition, aerobic endurance results showed a significant decrease (P>0.05) in maximal oxygen uptake in overweight participants compared to normal-weighted. The results of this study show that being overweight imposes abnormal mechanics on body movements that can lead to a deterioration of cardiovascular system and physical fitness of adolescents

The Effect of Multitasking on Female Soccer Player Jump Landing Ground Reaction Force 多任务处理对女子足球运动员起跳落地反作用力的影响

: Soccer players experience many injuries during jump landing after heading a ball. Some have attributed these injuries to multitasking during a jump with a header. The purpose of the study was to compare vertical ground reaction force (GRF) during jump landings from a vertical jump to that of a jump with an attempt to head a soccer ball. Fourteen Division II women soccer players (age 19.35 ± 0.93years; weight 569 ± 80 N; height 163 ± 6cm) completed a series of three jump conditions, three times each. These jumps included maximum countermovement vertical jumps (VJ), jumps where they headed a soccer ball (JH), and jumps where they attempted to head a soccer ball but missed (JM).The JH condition was uses for deception as participants were unaware of the JM condition. Data from VJ and JM were compared. Participants showed greater peak GRF and peak loading rate (LR) on the dominant compared to the non-dominant limb for the JM condition (p<0.05). Injury prevention programs may improve by integrating sport specific multitasking exercises into their routines. Adding different cognitive elements could yield better research representation of what happens during landing in real game situations.
