The advancement in Information Communication Technology (ICT) brings about the debate regarding the potentials of technological innovations for inequities and inequalities. Since the 20th century, when McLuhan argued that technologies help extend human capacity, media technologies have been regarded as liberating and empowering. Technologies aided human manipulation of mechanical and electronic processes in the media and communication industries. The paper examines the fundamental issue of digital dominance in information technologies. Interrogates how developing countries may, or have been left behind in the journey towards building knowledge societies because of poor technological infrastructure and systems. The analysis rekindles the global information order to the past, such as media dominance, information inequality, asymmetrical and imbalanced information flow. By adding the power of computing to mechanical and electronic innovation of the past, as captured by MacBride recommends changes to address inequities in global media representations in the 21st-century society. The network societies are now better connected. This conceptual paper discovered that the resultant gluts of information further intensify the nature of global and social challenges. Given digital divide concerns being accelerated as captured in the Digital Dichotomy Theory (DD-Theory) is proposed towards understanding the inherent global media communication dynamics. The theory asserts that entities without the same predisposing factors will often significantly vary in adoption time of current experience(s). The paper found that technology-aided media communication realities do play out and affect humanity in such an uneven manner as well. Within this context, there is a digital dichotomy that affects actual media communication outcomes, especially in developing societies.

National development is about improving a nation to improve the living standards of the people within that nation. This can be achieved when the people are provided with basic livelihood requirements such as employment. It is indeed a process that creates growth, brings in progress and positive changes. Christian teachings refer to the specific teachings of the Bible on various subjects which include: uniqueness of Jesus, one God (trinity), necessity of the cross (salvation), resurrection and second coming of Jesus and inspiration of the scriptures. From time immemorial , christian teachings had made tremendous impact on national development. The objective of this work, therefore, is to elucidate the impact of christian teachings on national development. In view of its historical nature, the work employs historical method in its analysis. The findings of this work, however, reveal that the moral and ethical atrophy being witnessed in the nation can be curbed through christian teachings and adherence to them will enhance rapid national development.

The advancement in technology has created a better way of sports reporting in journalistic engagement, which pave way for brand journalism known as specialised reporting, in which sports is one of the beats. Specialised reporting has become a necessary part of the press because of the need to address the inadequacies presented by straightforward news reports. Society is getting more complex with time so are the people. Mere news stories are no longer adequate to address the yearnings of complex human societies for complex angles to stories. Today, the diversity of media audiences has necessitated a variety of reporting beats which gave birth to what is known as specialised reporting. Within this context, the media have been associated with sports for a long time. The paper articulates that the role of the media has always been vital in boosting any activity of sports. The media have got a focal position, particularly in communication of fresh information, sharing the viewpoint of the masses, and bringing live sports and other activities to the consumer. The fusion of sports and the media, and Television, in particular, has helped propel and transform major events such as the FIFA world cup and the Olympic Games. Based on the opportunities offered by digital technologies, sports reporting has opened an opportunity for many hidden talents to come to the limelight and it has helped in improving infrastructures among other merits. The paper concludes that with the arrival of new actors in the journalistic field, the heavy use of social media and its impact on sports consumption patterns is imperative. The search for new business models for news organisations and the disrupting technology that is being explored and applied as innovation in the sports coverage all require new conceptual approaches to better understand the sports news.

Public sector organisations are generally believed to be ‘no-man’s business and as a result employees sometimes do not give their best when discharging their duties. In Nigeria, though the public sector is the largest employer of labour, employees, otherwise referred to as civil servants heavily rely on government directives rather than using their initiatives when rendering services. This study seeks to find out how employee participation affects organisational performance in the public sector specifically in the head of service of the federation, in Nigeria. The study had a population of eight hundred and sixty-two (862) and a sample size of 400 which was derived using Taro Yamani formula. Primary data was gathered using questionnaires administered to the respondents and the data was analyzed using linear regression technique with the aid of Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The findings revealed that all the independent variables examined comprising of employee involvement, employee engagement and employee empowerment had positive and significant effect on organisational performance of head of civil service in Nigeria. The study recommends amongst others based on the findings, that both regulatory authorities and head of service must take employee participation more seriously to ensure effective and optimum organisational performance.

A research paper is a piece of academic writing that provides analysis, interpretation, and arguments based on in-depth independent research. A good research paper solidifies a researcher’s skill in scholarly writing. This paper describes the process it takes to write a good research paper; it highlights the processes necessary to write various sections of a research paper - Abstracts, Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results and Discussion, and Conclusion. Digesting this research paper's content would ensure researchers can document information that would otherwise seep through due to a lack of research writing skills. The aim of this is to ensure that researchers can make original contributions to the scholarly base. An author's career, institution, and nation will be impacted by high-quality publication in indexed journals. Significant rejections could result from poor scientific writing. Therefore, writing a successful scientific publication for a peer-reviewed journal takes considerable time and expertise. A few easy actions and advice are provided to help researchers publish the findings of their work in the right scientific publications with greater expertise. Effective scientific writing frequently adheres to a specific format with important elements. The introduction to a specific issue with relevant background literature and theories to be studied, a list and explanation of the techniques, results, and a discussion that connects the results to the topic's broader information should all be included in a scientific paper's main text. For early researchers aiming to raise the caliber of their submissions for publication, this review piece is essential.
