Migrant workers, also known as Indonesian Migrant Workers (TKI), are one of the professions that many Indonesians choose. The reasons are varied, ranging from a lack of jobs in the country to economic reasons because the salaries of TKI are quite high. Problems arise when migrant workers have returned to their homeland and start managing businesses (MSMEs). Empowerment training for former TKI women through business strategy and finance training is urgently needed. So that the University of 17 August 1945 Banyuwangi collaborated with Migrant Care to conduct training. Through the FGD method, interactive lectures, and mentoring, the training conducted resulted in participants' understanding regarding business strategy (Cost Leadership, Differentiation, Focus) that will be applied in their business. In addition, participants also know basic accounting and how to calculate HPP and how to do a Break Even Point (BEP) analysis. Through mentoring, the participants have also been able to create financial position reports and profit/loss reports for their respective MSMEs.

Household waste is an environmental problem for the community, especially urban areas, which until now has no solution. The limited number of landfills in Jember Regency makes this waste problem even more complex. Waste Bank seems to be a promising alternative to waste management strategy. Community service activities by establishing a waste bank as the main program in partnership with Housewives of RW 20 Kelurahan Jember Kidul where there are around 58 households. Several problems are faced by partners, such as a lack of knowledge regarding the negative impacts of waste and not knowing anything about waste banks, how they work, and generating income just by sorting and depositing them in the waste bank. The method used in community service is Community Based Participatory Research (CBPR) by guiding the housewives of the RW 20 Kelurahan Jember Kidul to be actively involved in waste management training. The target to be achieved from this activity is that the people of RW 20 Kelurahan Jember Kidul are educated to sort waste and deposit waste into the Waste Bank to create a clean and healthy environment and increase the income of households. The district government is expected to be actively involved so that the program can run sustainably

The "Dosen Mengabdi di Desa" Program (Prosendi Desa) is conducted in Tegal Besar Village, Kaliwates District, Jember Regency, which has significant potential for the development of the halal industry towards Indonesia's Halal Industry 2024. The program aims to expedite halal certification for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by implementing a packaging house concept. The program utilizes the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approach, involving the collaboration of stakeholders such as government officials, MSME owners, and the Halal Center of UIN KHAS Jember. Through information dissemination, socialization, counseling, and direct assistance, MSME owners are guided in obtaining the necessary business legality in the form of a Business Identification Number (NIB) and Halal Certificate. The solution is divided into two phases. In the first year, efforts include issuing additional NIBs, establishing a "Halal Clinic" in the village, and conducting regular socialization and publications. In the second year, a guidebook for self-declaration halal certification, assistance in registering on sihalal.com, support for field verification and document revisions, and monitoring the certification process are provided. The expected contributions are in two phases. Firstly, by increasing the number of NIBs for MSMEs, the program aims to motivate business owners and bring added value to their activities. Secondly, the establishment of the Halal Clinic aligns with agency theory, addressing human nature, organizational aspects, and information needs. The program's ultimate goal is to ensure a significant number of MSMEs in Tegal Besar Village comply with mandatory halal certification requirements by the end of 2024. This initiative will not only enhance the halal industry but also promote awareness and compliance with halal standards among MSMEs, contributing to the broader goal of Indonesia's Halal Industry in 2024.

The underlying of this community service is the TBIG students’ inability to speak English well. This is due to their lack of self-confidence, lack of vocabulary and practice. It is necessary to overcome through English Speaking Club program. The mentoring method used is Asset-based Community Development (ABCD) which views the community as potential people. The results show that students' speaking ability improves. This improvement is shown by positive changes in terms of vocabulary and pronunciation. Their Vocabularies are increasingly varied and the pronunciation is also precise. Meanwhile, Students' self-confidence also improves. As their vocabularies increase, students feel more confidence to communicate and speak English in public. The fear and lack of confidence toward their ability slowly disappears. Furthermore, the English tutor's ability improves. This improvement can be seen from the micro teaching which was followed after the workshop activities. They shared their experiences with each other on how to open and animate the class atmosphere and close the class

The purpose of this service is 1) Segregation of waste is carried out from the start when the waste is produced; 2) Motivating students in the movement to start sorting waste starting with me; 3) Motivating education unit managers to provide separate bins according to the type of waste. This service was carried out in 16 education units and TPS3R Kalisurodi under the auspices of the Darussalam Pondok Pesantren Blokagung Banyuwangi. The mentoring method used is the Asset Based Communities Development (ABCD) approach. The results of the service show that there has been an increase in knowledge about increasing knowledge related to 1) Types of organic, inorganic waste, and hazardous and toxic materials; 2) Reusable & Recyclable materials (selling value); 3) Differences between Kitchen Waste and Garden Waste M 4) various examples of hazardous and toxic materials (B3); 5) Impact if waste is not managed on health; 6) Reasons why waste must be managed; 7) Stages of waste management in Islamic boarding schools and educational units; 8) Manufacture of individual composters; 8) Know the BSF cultivation cycle; 9) Recognizing that it is necessary to separate the impact from the source to solve the segregation problem at the TPS; 10) Knowing that there is a need for behavior change in all individual components in Islamic boarding schools and education units as a solution to solving waste problems. This assistance emphasizes that in implementing Islamic boarding schools' economic empowerment through sustainable waste management, a joint committee is required between all components in the foundation, education units, and TPS3R Kalisuro waste management to sort waste from sources, form waste banks in each education unit, and provide adequate infrastructure facilities for management

This community service activity is a continuation of 2022, the Paedagogia SLB Vocational School which is managed by the Kaliasin Education Foundation in Surabaya which specifically pays attention to people with disabilities so that they have skills. After training, mentoring and empowering people with disabilities, there has been good collaboration between people with disabilities and the implementing team so that the transfer of knowledge is easy to accept so that the lamination process to unite the chair and table components can run smoothly until the finished product, namely chairs and tables. In the next stage, mentoring is carried out for teachers to calculate the cost of chair and table products as a basis for determining the selling price. Cost of production consists of three types of costs: 1) Direct raw materials 2) Direct labor 3) Factory overhead costs.
