Acute pain is pain that arises suddenly and does not last long like post-surgery. Postoperative appendectomy affects the person's sleep quality being disrupted due to the stress and pain. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Benson's relaxation on pain scale and sleep quality in post-appendectomy surgery patients. The type of research was quantitative research. It was conducted by experimental research with a quasi-experimental research design with a pretest and posttest design. The population was all postoperative appendectomy patients in the operating room of RSUD Dr. Achmad Mochtar Bukittinggi. By using accidental sampling technique, 20 respondents were chosen as the samples. The data were processed by univariate and bivariate analysis by using the Wilcolxon test on the pain scale and the T Test Dependent test on sleep quality. The average pain score of respondents before the intervention was 2.6 (moderate pain) and the average score after the intervention was 3.9 (pain decreased), while the average quality of sleep before the intervention was 8.4, and the average quality of sleep after the intervention was 5.95. Benson's relaxation has an effect on pain, this is shown by using the Wilcolxon test with a p-value of 0.00 4 ≤ 0.05, and Benson's relaxation has an effect on sleep quality, this is shown by using the Dependent T test with a p- value of 0.000 ≤ 0.05. It can be concluded that Benson relaxation has a significant effect on overcoming pain nursing problems and sleep quality in post-appendectomy surgery patients where there is a decrease in the average pain scale intensity and sleep quality.

The most common virus on the earth is bacteriophage (or phages) that are present in all organisms. Their classification is currently being evaluated based on the phage's unique and antibacterial properties. The phage replicates within the host through a lytic or lysogenic process following infection and use of a bacterial cell machine. Phage has become an effective therapeutic drug against pathogens after twort and Filex d'Herelle discovery of bacteriophage in the 1900s, and subsequent research has been conducted. Nevertheless, bacteriophage therapy has become an unavoidable option for research due to the recent occurrence of bacterial antibiotics resistance. Around fifty years after antibiotic were found, antibiotics resistance is key risk for health care. Antimicrobial resistance is a rising big issue in global healthcare. The WHO, 1st report on antimicrobial resistances globally, has emphasized the threat of a forthcoming post antibiotics age, where little infection could be not treatable and once again will be fatal. Considering the present condition, producing therapeutic agent that are complementary to antibiotics play great role to fight against antibiotic resistance. The crisis requires development and implementation of new therapeutic agents against infections and phage therapy is suitable to control infectious diseases because safety of phage therapy. There is a perception with regards to phage therapy that phages are usually safe, on the bases of fact that they are ubiquitous in nature and our continued contact to phages in the environment and furthermore that they are widely used without adverse effects in many of the world. with this positive interpretation, the application of phage therapy must be verified by current research studies. bacteriophage preparations contain detrimental substances, such as toxins of gram-negative bacteria, during the formulation process of bacteriophage and that can be remove by different purification methods. Phages effects normal flora GIT negligibly due to specificity in nature and they infect only a small number of bacterial species.

This research discusses the impact of climate change on human health using a medical geography approach. Climate change affects health through extreme heatwaves, changing patterns of infectious disease spread and intensification of natural disasters. A medical geography perspective provides insight into how geographical factors such as climate, topography and population distribution affect vulnerability to these impacts. The importance of understanding medical geography in meeting these challenges and the need for global cooperation to address the impacts of climate change on human health are emphasized. The article underscores the need for appropriate mitigation measures to protect future human health in the face of increasingly apparent climate change.

Therapy for autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis (MS) is currently available in symptom management, pain-relieving, and mitigation of disease. Currently, prescribed drugs for patients with the disease work in specific mechanisms, regardless of failure to determine the most effective medication. We use a literature review to highlight two newly examined substances: organoruthenium 9E1 and APL altered collagen II263-272 peptide, and elaborate substances mentioned above' potential to be used in rheumatoid arthritis and MS therapy. Several studies show positive effects from 9E1 and altered CII263-272 peptides on experimented mice. Altered CII263-272 peptide can elicit Th cells to produce neurotrophic factors, decrease the body amount of pro-inflammatory T cells, increase the body amount of anti-inflammatory T cells, and alleviate collagen-induced arthritis symptoms. Meanwhile, 9E1 can inhibit Mst1 kinase effectively (IC50=45nM), giving consequences of decreasing Th1 cells' cytokines, increasing Th2 cells' cytokines, decreasing body amount's IgG1 and IgG2a, slowing down EAE and collagen-induced arthritis' manifestation, increasing IL-10 and IL-4-producing T cells. Organoruthenium and altered CII263-272 peptide possess positive and multiple effects as therapies for EAE and collagen-induced arthritis, hence potential to be prescribed to patients with rheumatoid arthritis and MS. This literature review suggests further research concerning 9E1 and altered CII263-272 peptide usage in the community to examine their effectivity, side effects, and suitable dose.

Hatha Yoga, characterized by body posture formation techniques and controlled breathing exercises, seeks to maintain the body's natural equilibrium. Conversely, hypertension, marked by elevated blood pressure within the vascular system, is a persistent medical condition. Its prevalence increases with age, particularly in low and middle-income nations. This study explores the effect of Hatha Yoga exercises on blood pressure in elderly hypertensive patients at the Biaro Public Health Center in 2023. Employing a Quasi-Experimental One Group Pretest-Posttest Design, this research engaged a study population comprising individuals aged 45-59 years. Purposive sampling identified a sample of 12 participants. Over a 2-week period, data was collected utilizing an aneroid sphygmomanometer and observation sheets. Data analysis encompassed univariate and bivariate analyses, employing the paired t-test. The results revealed that the mean blood pressure in hypertensive patients prior to participating in Hatha Yoga was 155.50, whereas following the intervention, it reduced to 150.08. These outcomes indicated a substantial impact, as evidenced by a p-value of 0.030, surpassing the significance level α (0.05). In conclusion, Hatha Yoga exercises significantly influenced blood pressure in elderly hypertensive patients at the Biaro Public Health Center in 2023. Consequently, it is recommended that hypertensive elderly individuals incorporate regular and disciplined Hatha Yoga exercises into their routine to effectively manage their blood pressure.

This study explores the effect of Hatha Yoga exercises on blood pressure in elderly hypertensive patients at the Biaro Public Health Center in 2023. Employing a Quasi-Experimental One Group Pretest-Posttest Design, this research engaged a study population comprising individuals aged 45-59 years. Purposive sampling identified a sample of 12 participants. Over a 2-week period, data was collected utilizing an aneroid sphygmomanometer and observation sheets. Data analysis encompassed univariate and bivariate analyses, employing the paired t-test. The results revealed that the mean blood pressure in hypertensive patients prior to participating in Hatha Yoga was 155.50, whereas following the intervention, it reduced to 150.08. These outcomes indicated a substantial impact, as evidenced by a p-value of 0.030, surpassing the significance level α (0.05). In conclusion, Hatha Yoga exercises significantly influenced blood pressure in elderly hypertensive patients at the Biaro Public Health Center in 2023. Consequently, it is recommended that hypertensive elderly individuals incorporate regular and disciplined Hatha Yoga exercises into their routine to effectively manage their blood pressure.","PeriodicalId":500206,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Health Science and Medical Therapy","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135343902","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research describes the use of GeoAI, a geospatial data-based artificial intelligence, to improve the understanding and management of health in a global context. GeoAI enables the integration of geographic data such as maps, satellite images, and environmental information with artificial intelligence technology to analyze disease spread, health risk factors, and health resource management more accurately. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The type of research used is a literature study. The literature review database used is by searching on Google Scholar, Scopus, and Google Book. The results of this study show that the basic concept of GeoAI involves more accurate spatial analysis, disease spread monitoring, disease outbreak prediction, and more efficient health resource management. However, challenges such as access to adequate data, lack of understanding among health professionals, and data privacy and security issues need to be addressed for GeoAI to be effectively implemented. In conclusion, GeoAI has great potential in improving public health and addressing global health challenges, but requires careful steps in its implementation.
