Background: Labour pain is one of the most challenging issues for pregnant women. The increasing in prevalence caesarean section, there is a debate as whether a woman should be allowed to choose between the modes of delivery. In the present study, we assessed the women’s knowledge and attitude towards modes of delivery. Materials and Methods: We have conducted a descriptive study by using purposive sampling of 100 women on prenatal and postpartum from the period of March 2021 to Jan 2022 at Al-Elwia Maternity Teaching Hospital in Iraq. A questionnaire was used as a tool of data collection to fulfill with objectives of the study. Data were entered in Microsoft Excel 2016 and analyzed by using SSPS 26.0 version. Results: In study, the highest percentage 61% of the sample their age was ranged between 20 – 29 years with mean age 26.58 ± 6.2 years, 67% women were finished primary school graduate & less, 70% of cases have family support. High mean score in all items according to women’s attitudes about normal vaginal delivery and cesarean section. Conclusion: From this present study, we have concluded that the overall knowledge of mode of delivery in women’s is good with most women having positive attitude towards vaginal delivery than to cesarean delivery, family support, health care provider’s and multimedia improving women’s knowledge about the risks and benefits of different modes of delivery can lead positive maternal attitude towards the vaginal delivery. Keywords: assessment, knowledge, attitude, modes of delivery, hospital-based study, Iraq

Diabetic Mellitus is a disease of inadequate control of level of glucose in blood. It is also happened by disorder of carbohydrate metabolism by impaired ability to produce insulin in blood. In this article, I have to discuss about how to find risk factors and how much its influence in the progression of Diabetic Retinopathy (DR), to identify the presence of DR and its progression by formulating some mathematical equations with suitable variables and to find several stages of DR and its progression. The continuous variables were expressed as mean and standard deviation and categorial variables as frequency and proportions. In this, we have discussed about various kind of statistical prediction models. Found the influencing factors in the progression of DR by using multiple logistic regression analysis, predicted the probability of a DM patient in the progression of DR and found the probability of DR among diabetes up to a given period of time and using by Markov Chain Analysis found the TPM and the absorbing state in a DM patient and to identify as having complete vision loss. I have concluded that the statistical models were explained and found the influenced factors and risk ratio to develop DR among DM patients has been computed, and transition of DR which predict the chance to develop DR in a DM patient and found the probability to develop DR over a period of time has also explained via procedure. Keywords: diabetic mellitus, diabetic retinopathy, statistical models, risk ratio

Medical subject headings (MeSH) thesaurus is a controlled and hierarchically organized vocabulary produced by NLM (National Library of Medicine). It is very useful for indexing, cataloging, and searching biomedical and health related information. MeSH type of terms is very useful to the purpose of indexing a journal, cataloging, and searching of biomedical articles and books easily. These are hierarchical display so that broader and narrower are displayed as ‘descriptors’. This type of descriptors is organized in 16 categories. One user has thoroughly understood of the National Library of Medicine’s Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) that will be increased the efficiency and precision of both new and old MeSH users’ literature searching skills using PubMed. From this I have concluded that this MeSH will be very much useful to the physicians because they are using Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) and it will increase their literature searching habit and it is free to use. Furthermore, a detailed review article is needed to find any difficulties are there in MeSH using and to create awareness with new researchers in medical field. Keywords: medical subject headings, national library of medicine, indexing, cataloging, searching, biomedical, health information, researchers

Background and objectives: Probabilistic statistical methods with the help of Bayesian Statistics help to analyze biomedical data with a newer and wider perspective. Combined with the knowledge provided by previous data, the novel approach was undertaken to study the association of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) with heavy metals in children. ADHD is characterized by inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. Being a widely prevalent neurodevelopmental disorder, it is attributed to both genetic and environmental etiology. Hair and urine samples were used instead of blood as two non-invasive sources for assessing heavy metals. Materials and Methods: ADHD children diagnosed as per DSM-V criteria and age-matched healthy controls were recruited in this study. Hair and urine samples were analyzed for arsenic, cadmium, copper, lead, nickel, and zinc. The levels of heavy metals were measured using ICP-OES after acid digestion and extraction. Bayesian Statistics in JASP v0.15 was used for statistical analysis. Results: The Bayes Factor, BF10 for the group with ADHD vs. healthy children, were significantly different for all heavy metals. In both hair and urine, lead, cadmium, nickel, and copper concentrations were higher in ADHD. However, zinc levels were lower in both samples for ADHD. Conclusion: By the probabilistic method, heavy metals are higher in the urine and hair of children with ADHD. Key Words: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Bayesian Statistics, ICP-OES, heavy metals
