Mindfulness meditation is a technique for regulating attention and emotions, which can help individuals enhance self-awareness and reduce stress. This paper aims at review the positive effects of mindfulness meditation on English learners and teachers, including improving English learning abilities and enhancing motivation, confidence, and enjoyment in English learning. Through systematic literature searches and screening methods from databases such as CNKI, Wan fang, Pub Med, and Web of Science, relevant papers on mindfulness meditation and English learning from the past decade were selected. Their research purposes, methods, innovations, and conclusions were analyzed. This paper specifically explores the literature review on the impact of mindfulness meditation on English learning, summarizing both the theory and practice of mindfulness meditation, and proposing future research directions and suggestions. Mindfulness meditation has a positive impact on English learning and classroom teaching, but its specific effects are influenced by various factors such as the type, duration, and frequency of mindfulness meditation. More empirical research is needed to validate its effects on English learning and to explore the optimal integration methods.

A person's spirituality at work may be described as their understanding and practice of religious beliefs in a manner conducive to and consistent with the job. This allows them to excel professionally while also cultivating healthy relationships with colleagues. Since the university is a gathering place for students and teachers to share knowledge, university employees also play an important role in helping students. If the University's staff and lecturers are to carry out their duties effectively, raise the bar for classroom teaching, and attend to the needs of their students, it is essential that they operate in an atmosphere that is more spiritual. This study aims to investigate the effect of spirituality on productivity in the workplace. In order to measure spirituality at work and job performance, this quantitative research surveyed 100 workers. We analyzed the collected data using SPSS for basic regression. The findings showed a computed t-value of 5.859 at a 0.001 level of significance. Considering that the computed t-value (5.859>1.196) is more than the table t-value and the significance threshold is less than 0.05 (0.001<0.05), it may be concluded that spirituality in the workplace significantly impacts performance. This research contributes to the expanding literature on academic human resource management by illuminating the relationship between spirituality at work and productivity in higher education. The study has practical implications for leaders and managers at other institutions. By creating a more spiritual work environment, students' learning is enhanced because of the increased awareness and support for spirituality in the workplace.

This paper explores the potential impact of paternal absence on women during their childhood by examining literature and contemporary theories. Paternal absence refers to children lacking paternal love and care due to factors such as illegitimate birth, divorce, or death. In today's society, diverse marriage concepts have led to an increase in single-parent families, resulting in a growing prevalence of paternal absence. This paper comprehensively examines the influence of paternal absence on female self-esteem using theoretical frameworks from psychoanalysis, social learning, social comparison, cognitive development, and attachment. Additionally, it highlights the significance of fathers' presence during childhood in establishing women's sense of competence through Bandura's concept of self-efficacy. The results of the study revealed that the absence of a father figure may exert detrimental effects on women's self-perception, interpersonal bonding, and development of emotional and creative competence.

In today's rapidly developing era, an increasing number of parents hope that their children will have good academic performance and a bright future. Both parental expectations and educational attainment can influence a child's academic level. Excessive expectations can have a negative impact on a child's academic performance, and higher educational attainment can also affect intergenerational expectations. This study is based on data from the China Education Panel Survey (CEPS), using correlation analysis and ANOVA to explore the effects of parental educational expectations and parental educational attainment on the academic performance of adolescents. The results of the study revealed that there is a significant positive correlation between parental expectations and academic performance. However, the impact of parental educational attainment differs between fathers and mothers, with only the mother's educational attainment having an influence on a child's academic performance. We recommend that parents should maintain a moderate level of expectation to ensure that their child's academic performance is at a high level. At the same time, there should be a balance between fathers' and mothers' investment in education.
