This study aims to examine the effect of Education, Income and PopulationDensity as well as Income Distribution on Water Demand in theRegencies/Cities of West Sumatra Province with the selected model being theRandom Effect Model (REM). The data used is panel data with a cross sectionof 18 regencies/cities and a 5 year time series from 2017 – 2021. The results ofthis study indicate that education has a significant positive effect on PDAMwater demand. The income and population density variables have nosignificant positive effect, while the income distribution variable has nosignificant negative effect on PDAM water demand.

This study was conducted to determine how gender equality in the fields ofeducation, health, and per capita expenditure on the economy of pro-genderregions in districts / cities in West Sumatra. This type of research isquantitative research, the data used is panel data, namely from 19 districts /cities in West Sumatra in 2017-2022, which is secondary data obtained fromthe Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The results showed that: 1) theclassification of gender equality in the field of education on the regionaleconomy there are 9 regions in developed areas that are pro-gender, 2 regionsin potential areas that are pro-gender, 4 in developing areas that are not progenderand 4 regions in underdeveloped areas that are not pro-gender. 2) Theclassification of gender equality in the health sector has the results that thereare 6 regions in developed areas that are pro-gender, 6 regions in potentialareas that are pro-gender, 7 regions in developing areas that are not progenderand there are no regions in underdeveloped areas that are not progender.3) The classification of gender equality in the field of per capitaexpenditure has the results of 7 regions in developed areas that are pro-gender,1 region in a potential area that is pro-gender, 6 regions in developing areasthat are not pro-gender and 4 regions in underdeveloped areas that are notpro-gender.

This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the absorption of labor in theagricultural sector in Indonesia. This research is classified as descriptive andassociative research. The data used is secondary data from 34 provinces inIndonesia in 2018-2021 obtained from BPS and other related institutions. Thisstudy uses panel data regression with a Fixed Effect Model approach which isprocessed using Eviews 9 software. The results show that the GRDP of theagricultural sector has a positive and significant effect on employment in theagricultural sector, the area of rice fields has a positive and insignificant effecton employment in the agricultural sector. In agriculture, the provincialminimum wage has a negative and insignificant effect on employment in theagricultural sector, the farmer's exchange rate has a positive and insignificanteffect on employment in the agricultural sector and the unemployment rate hasa positive and significant effect on employment in the agricultural sector.

This study is aimed to determine the influence of fiscal decentralization, publicinvestment, and private investment on the effectiveness of the implementationof regional autonomy of regencies or cities in West Sumatra province. The typesof this research are descriptive and inductive. This study used secondary paneldata sources from the Central Statistics Agency and the Directorate General ofFiscal Balance with cross-sections of 19 regencies and cities in West Sumatraand a time series from 2013 to 2021. The analysis in this study is a panel dataregression analysis. The results of this study found that: (1) fiscaldecentralization has a positive and significant effect on the effectiveness ofregional autonomy implementation;(2) public investment has a positive andinsignificant effect on the effectiveness of regional autonomy implementation;and lastly, (3) private investment has a positive and significant effect on theeffectiveness of regional autonomy implementation.

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the ownership of healthinsurance in households in West Sumatra. The variables used in this studywere health insurance ownership, area of residence, marital status, gender,age, education level, business field, health complaints, and household percapita expenditure. The data used in this study is Susenas data in 2020. Whilethe analytical method used in this study uses Logistics Regression analysis.The results of this study indicate that 75.45% of household heads already havehealth insurance. The factors that influence the ownership of health insurancein households in West Sumatra are the area of residence, marital status,gender, age, education level, and household expenditure per capita. While thevariables of business field and health complaints do not affect the ownershipof health insurance inhouseholds.

This study aims to determine the effect of education, health, road infrastructureand population on economic growth in West Sumatra. The data used in thisstudy is panel, data sourced from the Badan Pusat Statistik Sumatera Baratfrom 2018-2020. The analytical method used is panel data regression analysis.This research is classified into descriptive research and inductive research. Theresults: education has a positive effect on economic growth but this effect is notsignificant, health has a positive and insignificant effect on economic growth,road infrastructure has a positive and significant effect on economic growth,population has a negative effect and has a significant influence on economicgrowth. In West Sumatra. Simultaneously education, health, roadinfrastructure and population have a significant effect on economic growth inWest Sumatra.

This study aims to analyze in the short and long term the effect of exports,exchange rate and froreign direct investment (FDI) on foreign exchangereserves in Indonesia. This type of research is quantitative research usingsecondary data. The data analysis method used is the Auto RegressiveDistributed Lag (ARDL). The variables used are Foreign Reserves (Y), Exports(X1), Exchange Rate (X2) and Foreign Direct Investment (X3). The data used isthe time series period 1989-2020 obtained from relevant institutions andagencie. The results of this study indicate that all independent variablestogether have a significant effect on foreign exchange reserves as the dependentvariable. In the short-term test, the export variable has a positive andsignificant effect on foreign exchange reserves. Exchange rate has a negativeand insignificant effect on foreign exchange reserves, while FDI has a negativeand significant effect on foreign exchange reserves. In the long term, the exportvariable has a negative and significant effect on foreign exchange reserves. Theexchange rate has a positive and significant effect on foreign exchange reserves,while FDI has a positive and significant effect on foreign exchange reserves.

This study aims to analyze the effect of macroeconomic variables on theexchange rate: The case of the Indonesian economy. The data used in thisstudy is time series data for the period 1990-2020 which is sourced from theWorld Bank. Analysis is used analysis Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Theresults of this study showed that (1) the variable of international trade has apositive relationship and significant effect on the exchange rate (2) thevariable of inflation has a positive relationship and significant effect on theexchange rate (3) the variables of economic has a negative and significantrelationship on the exchange rate. While the variable of loan interest rate hasa negative relationship but does not have a significant effect on the exchangerate.

The results showed that (1) Education had apositive and insignificant effect on the length of time looking for work inWest Sumatra, (2) Age had a positive and insignificant effect on the length oftime looking for work in West Sumatra, (3) age had a positive andsignificant effect on the length of time looking for work in West Sumatra.West Sumatra, (4) training has a negative and significant effect on the lengthof time looking for work in West Sumatra. So it can be concluded thateducation, age, training and gender are important aspects in finding a job inWest Sumatra.
