The implementation of learning innovation is crucial for 21st-century education, particularly for Generation Z and Alpha students. Additionally, experimental learning (EL) is highly beneficial for learning geography, especially on the topic of geography research. This study evaluates the potential of the Opak and Progo Watersheds as a geography laboratory. This research was conducted with a spatial approach. Data were collected by observation, literature study, interpretation of remote sensing imagery, and documentation. The garnered data were analyzed by matching, scoring, and statistical analysis. A descriptive analysis was performed to support these analyses. The results show that the Opak and Progo watersheds have the potential for learning geography. This potential is inseparable from its heterogeneity of geological, geomorphological, meteorological, and hydrological conditions. The upstream area presents more potential because it has more complex conditions, indicated by the significant difference between the upstream and downstream areas in each watershed, as well as the variation between the four sample locations covering the two watersheds. In sum, this study offers novel insights into the potential of the area for natural laboratories for geography studies, especially the laboratories based on watersheds. This study also provides alternative information regarding watershed areas as a geography learning resource.

Learning media supports effective and efficient learning. Meanwhile, seismic learning is deemed as a challenging geography course, thereby, requiring animated video as a medium to visualize abstract concepts into concrete ones. Thus, this study formulates animated learning videos using the SAVI approach for seismic material. It also assesses the effect of animated video media on student learning outcomes. The animation video was constructed using the ADDIE research model and tried out in a pre-experimental pretest-posttest type one group design. The trial was conducted involving 27 tenth grade students from Sunan Ampel Islamic Senior High School. The results of the validity test from the material expert indicate an 88 percent agreement rate, while the media expert shows an 87.3 percent agreement rate. The teacher's response questionnaire received a score of 97 percent, while the student responses received a score of 88%. After attending learning with animated video, the average student score increased from 51.31 to 83.77 in the pretest and posttest results. The data obtained from the normality test showed a normal distribution, while the t-test suggested significant results with sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 lees than 0.05. These results imply a significant difference in students' skills before and after the use of animated video media. In summary, the developed media is suitable for seismic learning, offering a positive impact on student learning outcomes.

This research aims to develop MOOC content with a STEM approach using the Schoology Learning Management System (LMS) and apply the developed product to assess its impact on students' geographical literacy abilities. The research falls under the category of Research and Development (R&D) with a mixed-method analysis. The development model used in this study is ASSURE. The research design implemented the one-group pretest-posttest design with the N-gain score test when a significant difference was found between the average pretest and posttest scores through the paired sample T-Test. The N-gain score was then used to determine the product’s effectiveness based on Heke’s category. Then, the trial subjects were selected by purposive sampling method based on the location and school criteria. The data collection instruments used were interviews and questionnaires. The study's findings show that the MOOC content developed using a STEM approach on the LMS Schoology is highly commendable, with a score of 98.8 percent. Furthermore, the analysis indicates a significant improvement in students' geographical literacy skills, as demonstrated by the N-gain test results, which show a high gain score of 0.7105. These outcomes confirm that using the STEM approach in MOOC content within the LMS Schoology is effective in enhancing students' geographical literacy.

Groundwater quality in coastal area: A case study in Parangtritis Village, Bantul, Yogyakarta, Indonesia
Septian Putri Antika, S. P. Sejati, Mohd Hairy Ibrahim
Groundwater in coastal areas is one of the natural resources that is vulnerable to quality degradation due to population activities in coastal areas. This is also the case in Parangtritis Village, a coastal area with various potential regions for the population's welfare, ranging from tourism to agriculture, animal husbandry, and fisheries. Therefore, this study explores groundwater quality in Parangtritis Village, Kretek District, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta. Groundwater quality data was collected through field surveys based on land use, with water quality parameters including odor, color, nitrate, nitrite, and E. coli. The Minister of Health Regulation Document Number 32 of 2017 was adopted as a benchmark for groundwater quality in the research area. Further, by using the gathered data, the groundwater quality was classified based on limiting parameters. Groundwater quality is distributed based on limiting parameters such as odor, color, nitrite, and E. coli bacteria. Odor and color limitations are found in agricultural areas, tourism areas, and fish farms. Nitrite limitations are found in residential and livestock areas. E. coli bacteria limitations are found in all land use areas.
