External otitis caused by Malassezia pachydermatis is a common disease in the veterinary practice routine, whose treatment has been challenging due to the risk of antimicrobial resistance. Thus, Homeopathy is seen as a possible alternative to control the infection. To screen potential medicines to be used in a non-individualized clinical homeopathy approach, a series of in vitro assays were performed, in which a suspension of M. pachydermatis colonies in 0.5 McFarland scale was diluted 1:1000 in sterile saline solution, and 10 µL of pre-selected homeopathic medicines was added. Sulphur 6cH, Dolichos pruriens 6cH, and Kali carbonicum 6cH were chosen from a pilot study, and the last potency was prepared in pure, sterile water. The controls were pure, sterile water and succussed pure, sterile water. An amount of 50 µL of each suspension has seemed in plates containing Sabouraud dextrose agar medium, with or without 1% Tween 80, for counting of colony-forming units (CFU) and cytomorphological analysis of M. pachydermatis samples taken from the same colonies. The analysis was made using Image J 1.53 by manually counting quiescent and germinative forms. Kali carbonicum 6cH treatment decreased the germinative/quiescent ratio in relation to the controls, independent of Tween 80 presence in the medium. The UFC counting, however, did not show statistically significant differences among groups, probably by the lack of cytotoxicity against the yeasts. In conclusion, Kali carbonicum 6cH was considered a promising medicine to be tested in clinical conditions, probably due to its capacity to control yeast growth without creating a selective pressure able to induce resistance mechanisms.

The unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic has created havoc in most areas of human lives. Anxiety disorders are most prevalent and disabling psychiatric disorders and the incidence is increased in this scenario. Homeopathy is an established system of medicine with evidence base on effectiveness in mental health issues. There is a dearth of literature concerning the potential utility of Homoeopathy in the management of psychological issues during this pandemic. This overview is aimed to find out the commonly prevalent anxiety disorders and to assess the usefulness of homoeopathic medicines in the management of anxiety through selective literature search of articles and available research studies in homoeopathy on anxiety. In conclusion, mental health is a critical concern in a pandemic's scenario and Homoeopathy can be a safe and effective alternative or adjunctive to the conventional system in the management of anxiety disorders during this chaotic situation.

The prevalence of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome-Corona Virus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) has undergone a historic transition from December 2019 to June 2020 Under the current circumstances, SARS-CoV-2 has become a key problem for the public health and economic steadiness of the global fraternity Based on ample evidences from the global epidemiology of SARS-CoV-2 and MERS-CoV (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome-Corona virus) scientists and physicians strappingly consider these viruses share structural and functional similarities of selected biologically active enzymes namely, 3CLpro, PLpro and RdRp Ultra-diluted homoeopathic medicine has the legacy to combat infectious as well as viral diseases since last two centuries Thus, a systematic review on existing antiviral homoeopathic therapies was done in the current study and the need of appropriate clinical validation with proper in vitro as well as in vivo studies prior to make clinical endorsements in treating COVID-19 patients with homoeopathic medicines has been explained A brief summary of the currently undergoing or recently completed homoeopathic treatments of COVID-19 has also been provided to attract many more similar homoeopathic treatment attempts to combat COVID-19 © International Journal of High Dilution Research
