CHILD AND ADULT CLASSIFICATION USING BIOMETRIC FEATURES BASED ON VIDEO ANALYTICS 基于视频分析的生物特征儿童和成人分类

As the number of social insecurity in regard to social crimes is on its rise, it requires a CCTV camera a higher accuracy in detecting the objects including pedestrians for efficient work of catching criminals. As the importance of the function of pedestrian detection is socially agreed upon, more studies on image and video based pedestrian detection have been conducted. In terms of that, the goal of this study is classification of pedestrian in two categories as a child and an adult. In this study, Haar cascade classifiers are used. This method first detects a full body and a head. Then, it measures the biometry given the relative proportioning length of a full body and a head. Moving average algorithm is used to obtain threshold ratio. Experimental results show the accuracy 100% for children and 64.5% for adults.

DETECTION OF DRIVER'S SURPRISED STATE BASED ON BLOOD PRESSURE 基于血压的驾驶员惊讶状态检测

The number of deaths from traffic accidents in Japan has been reduced for this 13 consecutive years. One of the reasons is that the collision prevention safety devices for vehicle are developed and equipped many vehicles and it is needed to detect the state of drivers in order to reduce the number of traffic accident more. We are trying to develop this system based on blood pressure and show the efficacy of estimation driver’s state based on blood pressure. As a feasibility study, we attempted to estimate driver’s state that transits from calm to surprising, which is typical driver’s state, based on blood pressure using driving simulator. As a result of experiment, the systolic blood pressure after bicycle rushed out is higher than that before bicycle rushed out and these two data are statistically significant. This means that the systolic blood pressure get to be high when bicycle rushed out thus the feeling of “traffic near-miss” (surprising) can be detected from blood pressure.

USABILITY ENHANCEMENT FOR 3D CAPTCHA MODEL : SUBJECTIVE EVALUATION OF DESIGN PARAMETERS ON KLM EXECUTION TIME 三维验证码模型的可用性增强:设计参数对KLM执行时间的主观评价

In a previous study, interactive 3D CAPTCHA was proposed as an alternative method to assist users to pass the CAPTCHA tests easily and pleasurably. In addition, usability issues were reported in the same study. This current study, introduces several design changes of interactive 3D CAPTCHA to overcome the usability issues. The new design was evaluated by testing the effects of parameters on KLM execution time within experimental studies. Test results showed that the most effective methods are using arrow keys, using underline characters, using high contrast between foreground and background of cube faces, excluding case sensitivity for input validation and removal of question marks from input boxes. The new design reduced KLM execution time from 45.9 seconds to 16.2 seconds.
