Mulberry Knot Technique for Arthroscopic Meniscus Repair 关节镜下半月板修复术的桑结技术

Background: Meniscus treatment varies on factors such as age of the patient, cause of injury, time since injury, clinical features, site of torn meniscus and financial capacity. The treatment ranges from conservative in form of visco supplements, analgesics and physiotherapy to surgery in form of open or arthroscopic repair or partial menisectomy. We aim to show ten cases of arthroscopic meniscus repair using mulberry knot technique. Material And Methods: Meniscus tear was reduced using probe and long spinal needle. Conventional instruments used were meniscus repair set which includes needle and dart sheath with canula. The repair was done using 2-0 prolene with mulberry knot. Observation And Results: The average follow up period in our study was 3±1.2 months. As per knee society score, we have achieved 80% excellent and 20% good results at 3 months as shown in table 1. We did not encounter any complication in our study as far as intra operative or post operative events are concerned. Discussion: There are different ways and suturing techniques to repair the meniscus. Mulberry knot provides sliding, stable and secured knot formation which is less bulky and more reliable. It has been used frequently to repair rotator cuff in shoulder arthroscopy. It does not cause post operative impingement during movements in rehabilitation process. Conclusion: Mulberry knot technique is unique, stable, secure knot which is done using Prolene 2-0 to be used for meniscus during arthroscopic procedures outside in and inside out repair techniques.

Determining The Sex of a Person by Odontometric Parameters Using Logistic Regression Equations 用逻辑回归方程通过牙镜参数确定一个人的性别

The development of personal identification methods based on bone remains, which are used to diagnose the population of Azerbaijan, is a priority task due to the unresolved issue. In this scenario, a new method for quickly determining sex by teeth is in demand, as it should increase the efficiency of the work of forensic experts. The purpose of this study was to develop modern methods for diagnosing human sex using odontometric studies. At the craniological collection of Azerbaijanis, the sizes of teeth were studied. On 7 teeth of the upper and 7 teeth of the lower jaw, 3 parameters were measured (in this case, symmetrical teeth were considered as a single array). Each of the 14 anatomical teeth was represented by 80 male and 80 female teeth. For odontometric procedures, a Mutitouyo digital caliper (accuracy 10 microns) was used. The results of odontometry were analyzed by statistical methods using ROC analysis. Mathematical modeling was carried out using the MATLAB statistical software package. With the help of ROC-analysis, the data obtained during odontometry were considered. 6 odontometric signs were established, which are interconnected with gender. The most correlated with gender were the bucco-lingual diameter of the upper canine, as well as the heights of the crowns – the second lower molar, lower incisors, lower canine and upper medial incisor. Using mathematical modeling, we have developed 6 logistic regression equations that can be used to determine the gender of a person by the size of his teeth. The predictive potential of the equations was also evaluated using ROC analysis procedures. As a result of the study, based on odontometric indicators and by using ROC analysis, diagnostic equations were obtained to determine the sex of a person by the size of the teeth. The equations have not yet been verified on independent samples, so they cannot yet be unconditionally recommended for practice. Nevertheless, the authors count on the high legitimacy of their own models due to the fact that they used a fairly powerful mathematical apparatus.

A new test (Sacco Manni test 3) of congenital dysplasia of the HIP: A Cross Sectional and Analytic Study 先天性髋关节发育不良的一种新测试(sacacco Manni测试3):横断面和分析研究

Purpose Or Objective: Without a prompt diagnosis, congenital dysplasia of the hip in newborns can lead severe sequelae. Current screening strategies emphatize the use of ORTOLANI AND BARLOW tests, yet they exhibit low sensibility. The purpose of this study is to evaluate for a new test as a screening tool for congenital dysplasia of the hip. Methods: to evaluate the new test, a cross sectional and analytic study was performed with a non-probabilistic sampling method. Patients with either a positive ORTOLANI AND BARLOW TESTS were evaluated with the new test (Sacco Manni test 3) and hip ultrasounds. Controls were infants With negative ORTOLANI AND BARLOW and SACCOMANNI TESTs and also had an ultrasound performed. Results: CONGENITAL dysplasia of the hip was confirmed in 83 to 130 cases (64%), and 2 of 130 controls (2%). The new test had a sensitivity of 76% AND A specificity of 94% as compared to the ORTOLANI AND BARLOW TESTS (sensitivity 31 to 32 %, specificity 93 to 100% (p inferior to 0,05). Conclusion: this new test could serve as another clinical tool for the initial screening of congenital dysplasia of the hip in in fans or newborns. Its promising results against traditional screening procedures might potentially impact diagnosis and prognosis for patients with congenital dysplasia of hip.

The aim of this research is to document the history and cultural practices around Wanzanchi, with emphasis on the significant roles it plays in the Hausa community. This is achieved through the collection and documentation of oral tradition on the history, origin, development, impact as well as the value of the craft as an aspect of the culture history of the Hausa people and to study the material culture involved in the activities of Wazan and to document the cultural practices around it.

The Siddha Breathing Techniques as Preventive Medicine 作为预防医学的悉达呼吸技巧

Yoga is a part and parcel of spirituality. There are several yogas and a number of schools of thought. Yoga definitely provides health. But peace of mind should include health. There are different kinds of yoga namely, bhakti yoga, karma yoga, raja yoga, kriya yoga, Kundalini yoga etc. The prime purpose of all of this yoga is the attainment of liberation for the sadhakas and sadhikas. The various spiritual practices formulated and introduced by our Seers consist of controlling the mind and strengthening the body. But the problematic problem is it is VERY difficult to calm and tame the mind. One can guarantee for the body built and it is impossible to answer in positive for mind control. Till this day, the current mind control yogic and other practices require LONG PERIOD of time. So far, no ways and means have been put forward for RAPID RESULTS. In this work, the author confidently proposes quick result oriented three EASY types of breathing techniques without any side effects and pains. In this work, the author unlocks the hidden treasures of mysteries of 32000 years old Tamil Lemurrian yoga.

Principles of Lung Cancer Metastasis to Brain. 肺癌向大脑转移的原理。

Lung cancer is a disease associated with significant morbidity and mortality on a global setting. This form of cancer commonly gives raise to metastatic lesions the brain, which can further worsen outcomes. In this focused review, we discuss an overview of lung cancers that metastasize to the brain: known risk factors; means of detection and diagnosis; and options for treatment including a comparison between surgical resection, stereotactic radiosurgery, and whole-brain radiation therapy. These interventions are still being assessed by clinical trials and continue to be modified through evidence-based practice.

This form of cancer commonly gives raise to metastatic lesions the brain, which can further worsen outcomes. In this focused review, we discuss an overview of lung cancers that metastasize to the brain: known risk factors; means of detection and diagnosis; and options for treatment including a comparison between surgical resection, stereotactic radiosurgery, and whole-brain radiation therapy. These interventions are still being assessed by clinical trials and continue to be modified through evidence-based practice.
