These studies, as well as those of a number of others that have been carried out by the same or other groups of workers but have remained unpublished, have yielded conflicting results, but they have been the basis of rather strong claims used in intensive advertising campaigns to promote the various products involved. These conflicting claims and counterclaims have caused considerable confusion and, to the critical, the obvious conclusion must be that some of the claims are unwarranted.
