A Bayesian Algorithm for Reading 1D Barcodes. 一维条码读取的贝叶斯算法。
Pub Date : 2009-05-25 DOI: 10.1109/CRV.2009.31
Ender Tekin, James Coughlan

The 1D barcode is a ubiquitous labeling technology, with symbologies such as UPC used to label approximately 99% of all packaged goods in the US. It would be very convenient for consumers to be able to read these barcodes using portable cameras (e.g. mobile phones), but the limited quality and resolution of images taken by these cameras often make it difficult to read the barcodes accurately. We propose a Bayesian framework for reading 1D barcodes that models the shape and appearance of barcodes, allowing for geometric distortions and image noise, and exploiting the redundant information contained in the parity digit. An important feature of our framework is that it doesn't require that every barcode edge be detected in the image. Experiments on a publicly available dataset of barcode images explore the range of images that are readable, and comparisons with two commercial readers demonstrate the superior performance of our algorithm.

Rotation, Scaling, Translation Invariant Image Watermarking Based on Radon Transform 基于Radon变换的旋转、缩放、平移不变图像水印

Many image watermarking schemes against geometric attacks have been proposed. Rotation, scaling, translation (RST) invariant image watermarking based on log-polar mapping (LPM) and Radon transform is one of them. In this paper, we analyze the embedding and detection process of the above-mentioned method. We focus on how to select the watermark data, how to embed the watermark into the original image, and how to implement approximative inverse log-polar mapping (ILPM) during the embedding process. We analyze watermark detection when a watermarked image is scaled or rotated, and propose to use the rotation rectification to battle rotation. Three detection methods are compared.

Evaluation of Model Independent Image-Based Visual Servoing 基于模型独立图像的视觉伺服系统评价

The camera-robot calibration requirements is visual servoing can make it difficult to apply in many real-world situations. One approach to image-based visual servoing without calibration is to dynamically estimate the full visual-motor Jacobian during motion. In this paper we contrast three commonly used estimation approaches, and compare errors in the estimates. Other work has reported endpoint positioning accuracy for uncalibrated visual servoing. We also show how varying estimates errors affect trajectory following. The experiments have been carried out on both real and simulated PUMA 560 and 760 robots.
