Community-acquired methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (CA-MRSA) is an important pathogenic bacterium of community infection. In the past its infection occurred in hospital settings, and now the community infection ratio caused by it has been rising. Since 1961 ,the first methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA) has been found, the epidemic outbreak caused by MRSA happens all over the world, and the drug resistance is increasing. In particular, vancomycin is not sensitive to Staphylococcus aureus in 1996 and vancomycin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus in 2002 shows that the threat to human is getting worse. It has become a difficult problem in infection medicine. This article describes prevalence, prevention and treatment measures of CA-MRSA. Key words: Community-acquired methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus; Community infection
