The partially vertical bone defect of the posterior maxilla has a residual alveolar length ranging from 4 to 9 mm. The current treatment combines sinus augmentation with different materials. As an alternative to autogenous bone, a Tricalciumphosphate Alpha to file the sinus is proposed. A study of over 15 cases for partial bone defect is achieved. No failures and no infection of Tricalciumphosphate Alpha were reported. Implant placements took place without complications.

The therapeutic possibilities are limited in the event of pathological phenomena occurring for crestal implants. For basal implants, on the other hand, there are many possibilities if complications occur. Treatments pulled by functional adaptations or a treatment mixing a surgery-function of the jaw-implant-prosthesis system are definitely more often observed that treatments for an infection. Within this framework, needs and therapeutic possibilities differ strongly between basal and crestal implants. The replacement or the addition of basal implants is generally easy, more especially as a fast intervention makes it possible to take again the treatment with a sufficient quantity of cortical bone. A specific clinical training is necessary to be able to assess the correct diagnosis and to set up an adequate treatment for basal implants. Moreover, it is necessary to have specific tools for this system of implants, and of course additional basal implants are often needed to cure pathological complications. The manufacturer thus allows only professionals who comply with official authorisation to work on these basal implants.

The FM-Clip® system is a conceptual and technical evolution in the use of monobloc posts for implant-supported prostheses. This system has been developed for short and medium range implant-supported bridges on EVL® implants from SERF®; it is an easy to use and precise impression system for simplified production of temporary or final bridges. It then offers a new relationship between implantologists and general dental practitioners: with these new monobloc posts, the implantologist can easily validate the esthetic and functional integration of the implants with a temporary prosthesis; the general dental practitioner will then easily make the final prosthesis. The FM-Clip® system is thus particularly efficient during the transmission of patients.

Teeth transplantations have been used since centuries. This surgical method has been used in many new situations and has constantly been making breakthrough discoveries. A great number of scientific studies have been published within the last few decades on this subject. Transplantations are used to put back impacted or ectopic teeth in their normal situations. They can also be used as substitute to lost teeth or to compensate for agenesis. As a precaution, only autotransplantations are performed. The reimplantation of accidentally lost teeth and the surgical setting of malpositioned teeth are developed with autotransplantations. Difficulties and solutions are similar to those encountered in transplantation procedures. All of these surgical methods are included in oral surgeons' and orthodontists' daily practice.

The treatment of the totally edentulous by implant prostheses is now current in therapeutic methods. When resorption proceeds the mandible tends to assume a skeletal pseudo-class III relationship to the maxilla, then the surgical correction is necessary to obtain a functional and aesthetic result for implant prostheses. A method of reconstruction by combining a maxillary advancement, a bilateral sinus floor elevation and autologous bone grafts with buccal onlay is suitable for implant placement. This surgical procedure is the preliminary condition to obtain a high success rate in long term of the osseointegrated implant prostheses. The clinical case, seven years ago after prosthetic rehabilitation, can be described the different surgical and prosthesis stages to a successful bi-maxillary implant prostheses.
