This article introduced Professor Xiong Jibai's comprehensive analysis on COVID-19 from four aspects: the name, causes, nature and location of the disease. Meanwhile he divided the syndrome differentiation and treatment of COVID-19 into four stages and nine types according to its pathogenesis. This prevention and treatment strategy of COVID-19 is complete in principles, methods, formulas and medicine, with distinct academic features, and medication characteristics of TCM master Xiong Jibai can be observed. This article preliminarily summarized the prevention and treatment strategy and medication characteristics of COVID-19 from Professor Xiong Jibai.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) which is currently focused on symptomatic and supportive treatment by Western medicine. This article discussed the TCM clinical characteristics of this infectious disease under the guidance of Zhou Mingjun, a folk veteran doctor of TCM from Xinyang, Henan Province. Based on the study of relevant literature, combined with the clinical characteristics of COVID-19, the author proposed the characteristics of TCM prevention and treatment of this infectious disease, with a view to early intervention of TCM to prevent and reverse disease transmission, reduce incidence and mortality of COVID-19.

The severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infected pneumonia is a new acute infectious pneumonia, which outbreak in Wuhan city, Hubei province at the end of 2019 It is highly consistent with the "epidemic disease" of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) According to the understanding of TCM epidemic disease, this paper analyzes that "cold and dampness epidemic virus" is the important cause of SARS-CoV-2 infected pneumonia Based on the general treatment principle of "eliminating cold and dampness, avoiding filth and turbidity", this paper article discusses its TCM syndrome differentiation treatment in different stages and protective measures, with the purpose to provide references and help for prevention and treatment of TCM

Objective To observe the effect of Jiaweibugan decoction on c-jun mRNA expression of sciatic nerve in experimental di-abetic rat and explore the preventive and therapeutic effects of Jiaweibugan decoction on peripheral neuropathy in experimental diabetic rats. Methods The diabetic rat model, was established by streptozotocin (STZ). The rots were killed on the 4th or 8th week from the beginning of treatment, and c-jun mRNA of sciatic nerve was detected by reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Serum SOD was determined by xanthine oxidase method. Results The results of RT-PCR showed that c-jun mRNA expression of the model group on the 4th or 8th week was higher than that of the normal control group (P <0.05) , while those in model rats treated by Jiaweibugan decoction were markedly lower than those in non-treated model rats(P <0.05). The results showed that SOD of the model group on the 4th or 8th week was lower than that of the normal control group (P < 0.05) , while those in model rats treated by Jiaweibugan decoction were markedly higher than those in non-treated model rats(P < 0.05). Conclusion Jiaweibugan decoction has a preventive and therapeutic effect on peripheral neuropathy in experimental diabetic rats. Key words: Diabetic neuropathies/ZD; Reinforcing liver & kidney ; Decoctions ; Sciatic nerve ; Proto-oncogene proteins c-jun
