Versuchspersonen, die eine Diskussion von Politikern entweder im Radio oder im Fernsehen horten bzw. sahen, beurteilten die Diskutanten bzw. deren Argumente auf einigen Dimensionen. Nur die Sympathieurteile und nicht die Zustimmung zu, bzw. die Bewertung der Argumente waren bei Fernsehdarbietung starker polarisiert als unter der Bedingung «Radio». Dabei war das Sympathieurteil nur unter der Fernsehbedingung eng mit den Argumentbewertungs- und -Zustimmungsurteilen linear verknupft. Subjects watched respectively listened to a discussion of politicians transmitted by TV and radio and judged the persons and their arguments repeatedly. Only liking of the politicians, not the evaluation of and agreement with their arguments was more polarized by TV than by radio. Liking was closely related to judging the quality of and agreement with the arguments only in TV.
