In the article, a dedicated testing environment for MEMS sensors is presented. The system serve real–time measurements from several, different interfaced sensors, what gives opportunity to collect the data and – furthermore – its off–line analysis. To complete the main challenge what is MEMS ICs integration in one platform, a special hardware layer is applied together with operational algorithms. Two low–level boards are connected to the embedded server by RS–485 lines. This data server translates RS–485 signals and communicates with dedicated PC program by an Ethernet interface. Such a solution made possible to parallel streaming, archive, and analyze of data in a convenient way. The architecture and operational algorithms of individual components, such as complex synchronization methods in the data streaming process is described. Proper system design is verified by presenting selected signal waveforms grabbed in an experimental tests. In the end introduced two signal quality indicators resulting in comparison of different MEMS ICs. Summary table of computed indicators is shown with its analysis.

The method of ultra high frequency is being increasingly applied in the power transformer diagnostics. Using the probe (antenna) mounted inside the transformer tank it is possible to detect partial discharges occurring in defects of high–voltage insulation system. Such probes must be designed and optimized on several factors, such as frequency band, directivity, or the geometrical design etc. This paper presents parameters of two types of antennas (discone and microstrip patch) obtained through simulation. Calculations and simulations results will provide basis to comnstruct the prototypes of the antennas, which will eventually find application in the measurement system used for localisation of partial discharges inside power transformers.

High voltage transformer is one of the most important elements of the power system. Due to this reason, it is crucial to properly design and build from mechanical side as well as thermal side. Nowadays, designers of power transformers are using from the many programs that allow you to reduce design time. Additionally, thanks to them, designer can quickly and effectively bring new changes in the construction and see what will be their impact on the work of the transformer. This paper shows design assumptions of the mathematical model of power transformer, the similitude theory which was used to maintain an appropriate scale, and interface of Ansys CFX program, in which simulations of temperature field of power transformer was made.

The paper provides the characteristics of the construction and principle of operation of the adaptive cruise control system (ACC). The most important components of the system were presented and its cooperation with other electronic systems of the vehicle was discussed. An essential part of the paper focuses on diagnostic tests which were conducted on a model ACC system. The article presents the diagnostic device used during the tests and the characteristics of the tested system. During the diagnostic tests, the correctness of the ACC system communication with other systems was verified. The operation of the ACC manipulator push buttons was tested. Voltage and current values important for the proper performance of the system were read. The last part of the tests served the purpose of verification of the signals related to the current settings and condition of the ACC system.
