We theoretically investigate the blue light enhancement by the dual wavelength tunable Ti:sapphire laser in PCF. The blue light becomes broadened and extended to the short wavelength due to the cross phase modulation.

Resonant optical nonlinearity of PbSe quantum dots doped optical fiber 掺杂PbSe量子点光纤的谐振光学非线性

The optical fiber doped with PbSe quantum dots was experimentally developed using MCVD process. A strong absorption peak was observed at 1100 nm and the resonant optical nonlinearity was measured to be 9.94times10-16 m2/W.

We present a theoretical analisys based on scattering in nematics and on two-level system for the dye action. A simple description of light diffusion is shown to be inadequate to describe processes at the basis of this lasing; different physical phenomena have to be considered.

Tristable all-optical flip-flop using coupled nonlinear cavities 耦合非线性腔的三稳全光触发器

We demonstrate symmetry breaking in a multistable system composed of three coupled nonlinear cavities. Using positive pulses it is possible to switch between the asymmetric states, thus resulting in tristable flip-flop behaviour. Coupled-mode theory gives analytical results and precise insight into the intricate dynamical behaviour.

Two-colour nematicon interactions in local crystals 局部晶体中的双色向列相互作用

The propagation and interaction of two-colour nematicons is considered in the local limit. Approximate equations governing the evolution of the pulses are derived based on a variational method and excellent agreement is found between the approximate equations and full numerical solutions of the nematicon equations.

We report our recent investigations of all-optical bistable switching/memory action toward all-optical logic, and novel adiabatic tuning phenomena (wavelength conversion, opto-mechanical energy conversion, and photon dynamic memory).

Photoluminescence spectroscopy of semiconductor colloidal quantum dots in the photonic bandgap fiber 光子带隙光纤中半导体胶体量子点的光致发光光谱

We observed photoluminescence (PL) spectra in 735 and 535 nm region from CdTe and CdSe colloidal quantum dots (QDs) filling in the air hole of the photonic bandgap fiber (PBF). We show the PL of these QDs is efficiently transmitted in the PBF.
