The deterioration of grain stored in silos goes through different processes and may be caused by several factors, among which we can mention: metabolism, fungi, insects and other living organisms, however all factors that threaten the loss of grain quality cause an increase. of temperature. Thus, constant recording of the grain temperature can prevent a deterioration process for a quick and necessary action if the warehouse is equipped with a thermometry system. Given these facts, the objective of this study is to develop a low cost thermometry system that can be easy to use, covering this cost gap for small and medium producers and improving grain quality control in general. At the end of the work it was possible to develop a cable capable of adequately reproducing the internal temperature of the silo.
