A Study of Hailstone Detection System Based on Radar Echo Reflectivity Image 基于雷达回波反射图像的冰雹探测系统研究

Hailstone is one of the main meteorological disasters and it is very difficult to be forecasted effectively. A system of automatic recognition hail cloud is built base on the reflectivity image in this paper. The system deals the inputting image with the cut-down, filter, dilation and erosion process, and then the cloud is extracted from the image. A new concept called reflectivity density, which is used to distinguish hail cloud from rainstorm cloud, is defined. When recognized hailstone cloud the system will find the hailstone landing position by using Hough transform to detect hook echo or detecting the pixel with a reflectivity over 60 dBZ. This system is built on the Windows platform, and the experimental results validate the availability of the algorithm

Evaluation of Value-at-Risk for short term investment by using Cornish-Fisher expansion 用Cornish-Fisher展开评价短期投资的风险价值

The article deals with value-at-risk (VaR), by using method, which does not require defining distribution of return of the financial instrument. We used Cornish-Fisher expansion, which allows evaluating the quintiles and VaR of the explored return distribution only by knowing its characteristics of skewness and kurtosis. This method allows achieving sufficient accuracy of VaR even from relatively small amount of experimental data of return. The empirical evaluation of VaR, by applying Cornish-Fisher expansion, is performed by using hourly trading data of EUR/USD long position

Robotic Seam Tracking by Utilizing Arc Light 利用弧光进行机器人焊缝跟踪

Vision-based seam tracking without auxiliary light is a popular topic concerning the intelligent welding robot. The Gordian Knot of the issue is image processing with much time spending in the welding course. First, according to the principle of paraboloid of revolution reflecting, this paper puts forward laying a paraboloidal mirror in specifically position above the tip of welding wire. A part of arc light is changed into parallel one by the mirror. The reflected light shines on the area where the CCD camera can see. So the visual seam is seen long and the arc light jamming is weakened in the CCD camera. Secondly, it will be discussed that the luminous flux of the area is assured. Then the Roberts algorithm for the processing image will be discussed in the aspect of the positiveness and negativeness of the gradient element, a rule that judged seam was brought forward. The rule increases the speed of seam tracking. A welding robot system with single camera fixed on the weld torch end-effector has been established for the robot to identify the welded seam by the reflected light. The simulation and results of real application have proved the validity of the method

A Novel Method of P2P Hosts Detection Based on Flexible Neural Tree 基于柔性神经树的P2P主机检测新方法

It is estimated that 70 percent or more of broadband bandwidth is consumed by transporting music, games, video, and other content through P2P clients. In order to identify, and manage of P2P traffic, some port, payload and connection features based methods were proposed. But most of them focus on identifying P2P traffic based on rules and most of them can't identify P2P traffic with new features. None of the proposed methods can effectively help controlling and managing the P2P hosts. In this paper, we created a new P2P feature set, which include most of the proposed and new P2P features proposed by us. And a new anormaly detection method based on the feature set and flexible neural tree (FNT) is applied to detect P2P hosts. This approach is the first intelligent P2P hosts detection method. Experimental results show that the new method proposed by this paper has high detection performance and good expansion ability to add new P2P features. It can be easily applied to an on-line environment in our future planed work

Simulation on a Fuzzy-PID Position Controller of the CNC Servo System 数控伺服系统模糊pid位置控制器的仿真

Variation of the system parameters and external disturbances always happen in the CNC servo system. With a traditional PID controller, it will cause large overshoot or poor stability. In this paper, a fuzzy-PID controller is proposed in order to improve the performance of the servo system. The proposed controller incorporates the advantages of PID control which can eliminate the steady-state error, and the advantages of fuzzy logic such as simple design, no need of an accurate mathematical model and some adaptability to nonlinearity and time-variation. The fuzzy-PID controller accepts the error (e) and error change(ec) as inputs ,while the parameters kp, ki, kd as outputs. Control rules of the controller are established based on experience so that self-regulation of the values of PID parameters is achieved. A simulation model of position servo system is constructed in Matlab/Simulink module based on a high-speed milling machine researched in our institute. By comparing the traditional PID controller and the fuzzy-PID controller, the simulation results show that the system has stronger robustness and disturbance rejection capability with the latter controller which can meet the performance requirements of the CNC position servo system better

Classifying ABC Inventory with Multicriteria Using a Data Envelopment Analysis Approach 基于数据包络分析法的ABC库存多准则分类

This paper presents a modified data envelopment analysis (DEA) model to address ABC inventory classification. The new model is derived from reduced DEA model, and some restricts are added to make classification results more reasonable. The evaluating process has two steps. Firstly, all criteria data for each item are normalized between [0, 1]. Then, the prior scores for all inventory items are computed using the proposed model. A simulation example is employed to verify the efficiency of the model. The results show that this model is an effective ABC classification tool and the prior score of each item make classification credible. Furthermore, the classification result is compared with that of traditional analytic hierarchy process (AHP) methodology

Multiple Vehicle Visual Tracking from a Moving Vehicle 移动车辆的多车辆视觉跟踪

In order to realize collision warning and avoidance, a robust and real-time dynamic vehicle detection and tracking system regardless of occlusion is required for driver assistant system (DAS). In this paper, a novel classify vehicle tracking method is presented for the DAS, which can be applied to general road condition and the tracking stability under swerve and occlusion conditions is well resolved. With the thought of the intelligence tracking device, the targets are classified into three classes. Edge feature localization combined with template match is used for normal state target tracking, the tracking window drifting problem is solved and tracking precision is improved by the template update mechanism realized with target feature comparability. Multiple vehicle targets tracking under swerve and occlusion conditions in complex traffic circumstance is realized by the reformed template match tracking algorithm with cutting pieces template and reverse template

Particle Swarm Optimization Based Algorithm for Bilevel Programming Problems 基于粒子群优化的双层规划算法

A bilevel programming (BLP) problem is a NP hard problem that is very hard to be solved. The existing solution algorithms or methods designed to solve the particular BLP problems are inefficient and lack of universality. In this paper, a modified particle swarm optimization (PSO) is put forward firstly that can improve significantly the performance of standard PSO. And then a universal effective algorithm for solving BLP model is presented, which is based on the modified PSO algorithm and the main idea of hierarchical iteration. The experimental studies show that the new solution algorithm can be used to solve the general BLP models

A Novel Method of Ranking Fuzzy Numbers for Decision-making Problems 决策问题中一种新的模糊数排序方法

Ranking fuzzy numbers is important for decision-making problems in a fuzzy environment since the measurements are imprecise in nature. In this paper one new method of ranking fuzzy numbers was proposed by using the angle of triangular and trapezoidal fuzzy number besides alpha-cuts of fuzzy number. Ranking-maker's preference is considered and membership functions of fuzzy numbers don't need to be known before ranking. The results of some preliminary numerical experiments show the discrimination is valid. This new way is simple and efficient for the calculation and comparison

Software Agent Negotiation Development: An Experience Report 软件代理谈判开发经验报告

Negotiation involves the execution of rules and interaction among the agents toward the agreement, objective or outcomes. It is a complex process and need careful study and design. This paper focuses on experience sharing under the development of negotiation approach in a booking application (e.g. Smart Lecture Theatre). It consists of the conceptual ideal of negotiation as well as the methodology for life cycle development. The development life cycle has been structured into five phases: location determination, interaction protocol design, autonomy determination, agent binding and agent implementation. A simple negotiation application has been experimented for a simple argumentation negotiation application and an intelligent-based argumentation negotiation application. This paper has demonstrates the importance and capability of this methodology in structuring agent negotiation
