Electronic learning (e-learning) has dramatically influenced teaching and learning activities with the rapid development of modern technology. This study investigates how science students at Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, are using e-PG Pathshala. The survey method used a sample of 125 students from a renowned state university. A structured questionnaire was distributed to all students with personal interaction. The data in the study were analyzed using percentages, Likert scale mean, standard deviation, and Chi-square tests at a 0.05 significance level. As a result, some observe that e-PG Pathshala is an effective way to meet students of Kurukshetra University's learning objectives and complement their traditional learning environments. Even though online platforms provide many opportunities for re-skilling and up-skilling, the UGC encourages individuals to become more aware of how to leverage e-learning. Additionally, the study found that the e-PG Pathshala is useful for preparing class assignments and serves the purpose of classroom teaching as well.

In order to improve the performance of agriculture in Nigeria different agricultural research institutions were established. Realising the fact that economic and social development is based on progress in agricultural as well, these agricultural institutions have been striving to ensure food security in the country. But all these efforts have not yielded the desired result as the agricultural output in Nigeria can still not compete favourably with developed countries. Though, it has been established that there can be no research without information. Information is one of the components to achieve sustainable progress in agricultural research. Could it be that the agricultural researchers are not getting enough information for their research activities or they are not satisfied with information provided for research? Thus this study assessed agricultural researcher’s satisfaction in terms of information facilities, sources, resources and contents using the researcher in all agricultural research institutions affiliated to agricultural research council of Nigeria (ARCN). The findings revealed that satisfaction with information facilities and information resources are high; but there is need for upgrade in information content and services for better satisfaction. Thus the study made some recommendations for better satisfaction so that there can be increased in research output which will in turn improve agricultural output in Nigeria. Key words: User's satisfaction, information provision, agriculture, researchers, research institutes.

This paper examined library policy formulation and implementation as well as its implications in relation to school library services in Nigeria. The paper reviewed the concept of library and information science policy and school library services in today’s society as one that is required at every step of the way, highlighting that the progress of any nation depends on information generation, dissemination and use which is required early enough at the primary and secondary foundation levels of education. The paper reviewed the present situation of school libraries in the country and found that the school libraries were characterized with poor accommodation, unavailability of trained staff, inadequate relevant materials and apathy on the part of school administrators and government and posited that the situation of school libraries in the country is still unsatisfactory. This paper highlighted the importance of library and information science policy formulation and implementation to achieve a progressive education and development via the provision of access to and the availability of information and knowledge with speed and efficiency to all. The paper takes a position that formulating policy for school library services will lead to a massive infrastructural development in school library development. It will also enhance quality library service delivery and ensures that school libraries are managed by professionals. The paper was concluded with recommendations that government should set up a committee of experts made up of librarians, school managers and publishers to help in policy formulation and implementation for school library development in Nigeria. Key words: Policy, formulation, implementation, school library, services.

The study focused on the factors mitigating the utilization of information resources and services in the Nigeria French Language Village (NFLV), library, Badagry. A descriptive survey research design was used for the study. The population of the study is 2,258 which comprised ten (10) library staff, thirty (30) lecturers and two thousand, two hundred and eighteen (2218) undergraduates of Nigerian universities and colleges of education who come from the six geo-political zones of the country to NFLV which is the area of study for their language immersion programmes. A sample of 226 respondents was obtained for this study through stratified random sampling and proportionate technique. Instrument for data collection was the questionnaire alongside the observation method. Therefore, findings showed that, the factors affecting the utilization of information resources and services are as follows: Epileptic power supply, lack of ICT facilities in the library, poor reading culture among undergraduates on language immersion programme and lack of modern facilities in the library. Based on the findings, the study finally recommended that the library should procure its own generator so that it could power the library when there is power outage/failure from the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN). However, more staffs should be employed so that it could withstand pressure from library users’ requests. Library staff should be trained on ways of handling or dealing with library clientele as this will encourage patronage of the library. Key words: Factors, utilization, information resources and services, Nigeria French language village library.

This paper appraised the process of electronic reference service delivery (ERSD) in Redeemer’s University, Nigeria (RUN). It highlighted the operations of using modern information and communications technology (ICT) for core Reference Service Delivery such as selective dissemination of information (SDI) and current awareness services (CAS) in RUN. ERSD in RUN are aimed at meeting the growing information needs of faculty members. It has enhanced the reputation of the library as well as increased patronage of library reference services. To elicit information from the faculty, a profile form was designed. The form is a description of the process and procedure of providing current information but personalized to the faculty, and keeps them abreast of the latest development. ERSD offers an important option to users for keeping current with research. Also, there is evidence that SDI can be provided in a variety of ways, both manually and electronically. However, using electronic means has proved to be cost-effective and faster. The library in question has moved from the traditionally approach to online information provision methods. Key words: Electronic reference, selective dissemination of information (SDI), current awareness services (CAS), online reference services (ORS), electronic reference service delivery (ERSD), Redeemer’s University.

This study was done with private primary schools children in Orerokpe Educational Zone of Delta State, Nigeria in 2018. A quasi experimental design was adopted. Two research questions and two hypotheses guided the study. The population of the study was 28,172. The sample comprised 63 primary four pupils. Purposive and cluster sampling techniques were used to sample 32 pupils in the experimental group one and thirty-one in the experimental group two (control group). Cluster sampling technique was further employed to draw out the two intact classes for the experiment. Data collected were analysed using mean and standard deviation, while Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) was used to test the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. Findings show that exposing children to literature is effective and significant in both the improvement of their ability to resolve conflicts and their communication skill. The implication of the study is that schools should emphasize on conflict resolution and development of communication skill of the students when recommending literature texts for them because such skills will help them to resolve challenging issues, ward-off inferiority complex and stage fright. Key words: Literature, children’s literature, school library, social development, conflict resolution, communication kill.
