In a combined radiological and physiological investigation it has been shown, that duodenal anomalies often are seen in patients with sliding hiatal hernia. Further no difference was demonstrated in the gastric reservoir function between patients with duodenal anomalies, sliding hiatal hernia and control group. The gastro-colic reflex in patients with duodenal anomalies was of similar nature as the one in patients with colon diverticula, and this characteristic pressure pattern is believed to be expressive of a raised parasympathetic tonus. This might give a reasonable explanation why duodenal anomalies often are seen in patients with hiatal hernia. In einer radiologisch-physiologischen Untersuchung wird gezeigt, das Anomalien der Duodenalschlinge oft bei Patienten mit direkten Hiatushernien gesehen werden. Es wurden keine Unterschiede in der Reservoirfunktion des Magens bei Patienten mit Anomalien der C-Schlinge, direkten Hiatushernien und einer Kontrollgruppe gefunden. Der gastro-kolische Reflex bei Patienten mit duodenaler Anomalie war ahnlich dem bei Patienten mit Kolondivertikeln, so das angenommen werden mus, das dieses charakteristische Bild eines erhohten Drucks Ausdruck eines gesteigerten parasympathischen Tonus ist. Dies mag eine einfache Erklarung sein, weshalb Duodenalanomalien so oft bei Patienten mit Hiatushernien beobachtet werden.
