This study embarks on a comprehensive exploration of the influence exerted by refrigerant purity characteristics on vapor-compression refrigeration systems performance. The investigation particularly delves into the effects on domestic applications, such as chest freezers. Deviations from the ideal refrigerant characteristics, as stipulated by the AHRI-700 standard, can provoke detrimental repercussions, including augmented power consumption and diminished coefficient of performance. In this empirical analysis, three R134a refrigerant samples, each with varying degrees of conformity to the AHRI-700 standard, were scrutinized. Sample 1 with superior characteristics, sample 2 with medium characteristics, while sample 3 with substandard characteristics. The samples were subjected to identical ambient conditions within a 145-liter chest freezer operating at a temperature of 32℃. The findings unequivocally underscored a correlation between refrigerant purity and system performance. Sample 1, with optimal characteristics, demonstrated superior performance, consuming less power (120.7 W) and delivering a higher coefficient of performance (2.33) in comparison to sample 2 (138 W, 2.07) and sample 3 (147 W, 1.93). These results emphatically emphasize the necessity of stringent refrigerant selection, predicated on purity characteristics, to best performance of vapor-compression refrigeration systems.

The compact sizing and lightweight characteristics of thermoelectric devices have garnered significant attention, leading to their widespread use across varied fields. This study experimentally investigates the application of thermoelectric refrigeration in air conditioning, employing a moderately designed system. A unique, multi-U shaped heat sink system was developed, wherein thermoelectric devices were affixed onto rectangular tubes befitting their dimensions, thereby facilitating water as an auxiliary medium for energy transfer. This design enabled the transformation of cold water from the system's cold side to the indoor unit's water-air heat exchanger, while hot water was directed to the outdoor evaporative cooling tank. A Peltier-type thermoelectric device was harnessed for this experiment. The devised setup was subjected to multiple tests to evaluate its thermal performance under the climate conditions of Najaf. Preliminary results validated the effectiveness of the water cooling methodology, with the water temperature observed to decrease to 14℃. Consequently, the room air was cooled by the water-air heat exchanger, reaching temperatures between 20℃ and 24℃. This study underscores the potential of integrating thermoelectric devices with innovative heat sink designs for efficient room air cooling

In heat ore deposits, the role of ore-forming fluids in geological processes, notably in the genesis and evolution of such deposits, is pivotal. These fluids predominantly encompass aqueous solutions, molten magma, and various gaseous phases, each demonstrating intricate thermophysical attributes and dynamic behaviours within the high-temperature and pressure conditions of the deep crust. Contemporary methodologies and models, constrained by their specificity to certain environments and elements, often fall short in offering a holistic perspective or forecasting capabilities. To bridge this deficiency, a comprehensive set of mathematical models and equations has been constructed in the present study, subsequently facilitating an in-depth examination of the thermophysical properties of ore-forming fluids and the associated ore-formation processes in heat ore deposits. The research is segmented into three primary components: the derivation of thermal and solute diffusion equations; the establishment of mass and energy conservation equations; and the formulation of a solute transfer equation. This integrative approach not merely furnishes a robust theoretical foundation for decoding the intricacies of ore-forming fluids in heat ore deposits but also bears considerable scientific and pragmatic implications.
