Adaptive fuzzy logic position control of a Stepper motor with Extended Kalman Filter 扩展卡尔曼滤波的步进电机自适应模糊逻辑位置控制

The present paper proposes an adaptive fuzzy logic control (AFLC) for the position control of a Stepper motor. The weights used for combining the fuzzy rules are also updated, using the least mean square algorithm. The paper also demonstrates a Kalman filter for the estimation of motor parameters like speed and flux vector position. The estimation is ensured to be robust even in the presence of arbitrary fluctuation of the input line currents. The modified Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) rejects the outliers in real-time, thereby eliminating the need for manual intervention in tuning the parameters of the EKF. The stability of the controller is checked by computing the Lyapunov exponent from the evolution of the state space of direct axis current, quadrature axis current, synchronous speed; and found to be stable at all the time. The simulation results show that the proposed control strategy operates robustly under modeling uncertainty, with a good dynamic performance.

New delay-dependent stabilization result for linear time-delay system with actuator saturation 具有执行器饱和的线性时滞系统的新的时滞相关稳定化结果

In this communication, a modified delay-dependent stabilization criterion is derived based on new Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional for ascertaining local stabilization of an open-loop unstable time-system subjected to actuator saturation, while approximating the saturation function using polytopic representation. A numerical example is considered to show that the proposed criterion yields less conservative results compared to the existing ones in terms of delay upper bound and domain of attraction (DOA) estimation.

PSO and P&O based MPPT technique for SPV panel under varying atmospheric conditions 基于PSO和P&O的变大气条件下SPV面板MPPT技术

This paper presents Particle Swarm Optimization and Perturbation & Observation techniques to find the optimum operating parameters of a solar photovoltaic panel under varying atmospheric conditions. The terminal voltage, current and corresponding duty-cycle, at which the DC/DC converter should be switched to obtain maximum power output, are determined. Simulation of maximum power point tracking of a DSP210 solar panel is done, using both methods, in MATLAB. It is observed from the results that the particle swarm optimization based algorithm can track the maximum power point for the whole range of solar data (irradiance and temperature) and has high conversion performance.

Validation of a prediction model for control of micro wind turbines 微型风力发电机控制预测模型的验证

A computational model is developed to guide the design and predict the performance of micro vertical axis wind turbines. A self-starting three-armed vertical axis wind turbine is modeled, with the capability to incorporate double blades, a guide vane, and drag tubes for self-starting and operation at low tip speed ratios. The performance of the model is validated against predictive models and data from the literature. The effects of Reynolds number variations are modeled and found to improve the fidelity of model predictions.

Graph colouring based image similarity 基于图像相似度的图形着色

Region based segmentation approaches have been applied to several different problems in computer vision, like image classification, image registration, image retrieval, objects recognition, video indexing etc. The attraction of this algorithm is independent of the user defined seed point. The generality of region based segmentation of real-world problems in the light of regions has made it popular for large range of images. However in the prior methods, the computational effort increases as the complexity of the problem increases. This paper is based on an efficient graph theoretical approach. A maximal planar graph is constructed from the region segmented image. Primary advantage of this approach is one can naively analyze the resulting graph and determine the number and position of a particular object in the region of interest. The images are matched (with N points) in O(N2 log N) and segment a given image of N pixels in O(N log N).

On a methodology for detecting diabetic presence from iris image analysis 基于虹膜图像分析的糖尿病检测方法研究

Iris image analysis for clinical diagnosis is one of the most efficient non-invasive diagnosis methods for determining health status of organs. Correct and timely diagnosis is a critical, yet essential requirement of medical science. From the literature, it is found that modern technology also fails in lot of cases to diagnose disease correctly. The attempt is being made to explore the area of diagnosis from different perspectives. The approach used is a combination of ancestor's technology Iridodiagnosis with modern technology. Iridodiagnosis is an alternative branch of medical science, which can be used for diagnostic purposes. To begin with a database is created of eye images with clinical history of subject's emphasis on diabetic (type II) disease in pathological laboratory. The various algorithms are developed for image quality assessment, segmentation of iris, iris normalization and clinical feature classification for clinical diagnosis. The artificial neural network is used for training and classification purpose. The entire process shows classification accuracy of 90 ~ 92 percent between diabetic and non-diabetic subjects. A significant improvement is demonstrated in classification performance over the existing approaches. This approach will be useful in the diagnosis field which is faster, user friendly and less time consuming.

Robust adaptive integral backstepping control and its implementation on motion control system 鲁棒自适应积分反演控制及其在运动控制系统中的实现

In this paper a design methodology for a novel robust adaptive integral backstepping controller for the motion control system, has been presented in a systematic manner. Backstepping is a realistic nonlinear control design algorithm based on Lyapunov design approach, as a consequence it automatically ensures the convergence of the regulated variable to zero. Adaptation schemes are designed to estimate the inertia variation and load disturbance in the motion control systems. Integral action is being used to enhance the control action of the controller in steady state against the disturbances. We explore the concept of continuous switching function in parameter update law to ensure the robustness of the adaptive design. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm has been demonstrated in simulation studies. The controller design has been evaluated not only for the tracking performance but also for the parameters convergence rate of the system. It is quite interesting to note that during the simulation it does not require any prior information about the parameters of the mathematical model of the motion control system.

Binary/real coded particle swarm optimization for unit commitment problem 二元/实数编码粒子群优化机组调度问题

This paper presents a new approach for binary and real coded particle swarm optimization (BRPSO) algorithm to solve the unit commitment problem (UCP). On solving UCP, the proposed binary coded PSO finds the ON/OFF status of the generating units while the economic dispatch problem (EDP) is solved using the real coded PSO. Tanh function is proposed to improve the particle searching mechanism in binary PSO. The proposed methodology is tested and validated on 3, 17, 26 and 38 generating unit system for 24 hour scheduling horizon. The effectiveness of the proposed technique is demonstrated by comparing its performance with the other methods reported in the literature.

Analysis of transmitting wire antenna 发射线天线分析

Researches and investigations in transmitting wire antenna is continuing. The term wire means metallic, highly conducting, solid or tubular electrically thin wires, i.e. wires with diameter very small compared to the length of the wire and the wavelength of an incident plane wave. When the wire element is excited at one or more electrically small regions along the length, it behaves as a transmitting antenna. The accurate solution of the antenna characteristics can be obtained from the surface current, which can be obtained from Maxwell's equation subject to boundary conditions. This result an integral equation of current which can be solved using numerical method. The numerical methods are so simple and it can be applicable to many configurations. In this work a moment based numerical technique which consists of expanding the unknown quantity in to a series with unknown coefficients. The expansion is introduced in the integral equations and a testing procedure is performed and that has been used to evaluate the current distribution. First theoretical analysis with appropriate derivations are presented. Then a Matlab code to model the current distribution is developed. The algorithm to evaluate integral is based on moment method and Pocklington's equations. Length of the wire is taken as 0.47λ and area of cross-section as 0.005λ. Frequency is selected as 3MHz.

Demonstration of an observation tool to evaluate the performance of ICA technique 演示了一种评估ICA技术性能的观察工具

The motivation behind the Blind source separation is to separate the mixed sources, in particular for the blind case where both the sources and mixing process are unknown and if desirable to recover all the sources from the mixtures,. The paper reveals the blind source separation techniques, the mixing environment probably occurs with signals. The present work compares the performance of the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) technique and Independent component analysis (ICA). The demixing process used is based on the maximization of Kurtosis. The extent of demixing is assessed from the strength of the scaled version of off diagonal elements in the correlation matrix of demixed output. The Matlab simulation supplemented by plots, scatter, and bar diagrams between signal separated brings out effectively the superiority in the performance of the maximization of Kurtosis for source separation.
