The demand for a self-service device that can relay the information of an organization while maintaining privacy is quite crucial in today’s world. The introduction of kiosks in such states resolves this issue but the prevailing kiosk manufacturing companies don’t provide a plug & play system for kiosks. In order to nullify these issues, the design of an information kiosk as a plug & play system has been described in this paper. This kiosk can provide real-time information to the users removing the necessity of any sort of human assistance. Unlike the existing kiosks, this is a plug & play device, which makes it easier to install any specification or modification required as per the organization’s requirement. It also stands out from the existing ones through the use of image processing and computer vision making it more interactive as well as user friendly. The system also possesses the capability of processing a vast amount of data. These data are collected through sensors and other means as well as conveying with high accuracy and privacy. Furthermore, the system is low-cost in comparison with the available kiosks in the market.

Digital technologies have become an integral part of all aspects of human life. Living digital style and interacting with various applications and Web sites, humans leave digital traces of their online activities. These traces organize human digital life. The paper introduces principles of intelligent decision support based on a model of user digital life. Such a model structures content of user digital life with relation to the problems the user have ever dealt with and the decisions made. The principles form the basis of a conceptual framework aiming at recommending decisions. Group patterns provide historical data to predict decisions. A group pattern represents a generalized model of digital life for a group of users with similar preferences and decision-making behaviours. An initial model of a decision maker ontology is presented that performs contextdependent classification of the users into decision maker types to provide context-aware recommendations.

Objects tracking system is a research field of great importance. The two main reasons for this: 1 -Attempting to replace humans with robots or automatic systems in every field wherever possible. 2 -The accuracy, effectiveness and speed of those systems compared to human performance. In this research we propose a new approach for tracking objects and predicting the future trajectory of these objects. the main idea is to observe the object for about 15 seconds, this gives us part of the moving pattern, then “Dynamic Regressor Extension and Mixing (DREM)” algorithm is used to estimate the main frequencies involved in the detected movement pattern. The estimated frequencies are used to predict the future trajectory of the object. The accuracy of this method was tested using 5DOF arm robot, which try to grip the object at each moment of its future trajectory. This research performed on a virtual object designed in “vredit” in MATLAB. The object moves on an LCD screen. The results were represented as the difference between the predicted trajectory and the real future trajectory. Results show that tracking error of a ball moves on the screen for different moving pattern is less than lcm, where the screen stands 500mm far from arm base.

The paper proposes a new multi-layer solution to combine various algorithms implementing Artificial Intelligence (AI) for image recognition. Several neural networks are introduced to solve specific problems of objects identification. Additional “pre-launch matcher” is supplemented to scope out various objects and assigns them to the most corresponding AI modules. Distributed meter surveying is taken as an illustrative example of successful use. The introduced solution was implemented to process and analyze the results of electrical meters that are manually monitored by a group of patrol personnel inspectors using hand held devices. The results of development and testing show how the quality of neural network used for meter processing can be improved in practice.

Speech enhancement is a relevant component in many real-world applications such as hearing aid devices, mobile telecommunications, and healthcare applications. In this paper, we investigate on the Dilated Wave-U-Net model: a recently proposed end-to-end neural speech enhancement approach based on the Wave-U-Net architecture. We evaluate the performance of the model on two datasets: the public VCTK dataset, and a contaminated version of Librispeech dataset. In particular, we experiment on using alternative losses based on the MSE loss, L1 norm and on a combination of L1 and MSE losses. Results show that the Dilated Wave-U-Net architecture outperforms other state-of-the-art methods in terms of intelligibility and quality metrics on both datasets and that MSE loss is the most performing one.

This paper presents the result of an investigation how Unmanned Aviation Systems were applied in the first half of 2020 in response to the coronavirus COVID-19 challenges. The application cases collected and referenced in this paper are pandemic specific only even though many of them may be considered as typical. An important discovery was that the majority of limitations preventing the high spread of UAS applications are not technological. Nevertheless, innovative technologies, application cases and services that have originated during the pandemic period are expected to evolve and adapt to other situations and shape the future markets.

The paper considers the problem of distortion of the ECG curve caused by bioimpedance of a patient’s skin. The authors compare traditional analytical methods of bioimpedance estimation based on equivalent circuits (RLC and others) and “black box” method. Advantage of “black box” method is shown in the task of estimation of parameters of parasitic filter of the skin in comparison with traditional methods. The paper describes the theoretical base and the measurement experiment directed to estimation of real transition parameters of the correction filter. Obtained digital correction filter was experimentally investigated. The results of the computational experiment with ECG records from PhysioNET base shows the impact of bioimpedance changes to ECG signal form. The proposed solution is intended to implementation in portable heart monitoring systems.

A videogame as software and as a product presents a great variety of characteristics: gender, theme, platform, target audience, among others. In recent years, the number of videogames developed has grown notably thanks to the industry, as users have a large catalog available, who often may be curious to play another videogame that has not been presented in an advertising medium. In present investigation we propose a videogame recommendation architecture and a recommendation system using Fuzzy Logic, in the construction we have designed 16 rules with fuzzy sets. A database of approximately 55,000 games and of its 16 attributes of which 5 were used for the recommendation system was used: 4 attributes (Critic Score, User Score, Global_Sales, Year) to establish membership functions with the 16 rules of recommendation formed based on the opinion of experts in the field of videogame analysis and 1 attribute (Age) to develop the content filter according to age applying an ethics model in Artificial intelligence. The results of our computational experiments with the proposed architecture reached an accuracy percentage of 80,0%.

The progress of Internet of Things (IoT) leads to appearance of diverse networked environments where specific class of service-oriented applications–-smart spaces–-are becoming developed and deployed. The deployment is based on certain software platforms, widely accepted as smart spaces middleware. This paper overviews this type of middleware with focus on the requirements that the middleware supports in IoT environments. We analyze and systemize the middleware requirements. The systemized requirements are mapped to the particular existing middleware solutions, leading to identification and comparison of basic approaches in the smart spaces development problem.
