Corrosion Studies of Mild Steel in 1M HCL by Using 1-(2-Methyl-4-(2-Methylphenyldiazenyl) Phenyl)Azonapthalen-2-Ol as Organic Inhibitor 1-(2-甲基-4-(2-甲基苯基二氮基)苯基)偶氮萘-2-醇作为有机缓蚀剂对低碳钢在1M盐酸中的腐蚀研究

The effect of addition of1-(2-methyl-4-(2-methylphenyldiazenyl) phenyl) azonapthalen-2-ol on the corrosion of steel in 1M HCL acid has been studied by weight loss measurements, potentiodynamic polarization and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) measurements. The inhibition efficiency was found to increase with inhibitors content to attain 61.00% and 79.66% 1-(2-methyl-4-(2methylphenyldiazenyl) phenyl) azonapthalen-2-ol and 25ppm(Tetra butyl ammonium bromide) TBAB respectively. Data obtained from EIS studies were analyzed to determinate the model inhibition process through appropriate equivalent circuit models. Inhibition efficiency E (%) obtained from the various methods is in good agreement.

Present study shows the correlation of activity of as many as 13 Anti-bacterial (containing benzimidazole and beta-lactam moiety) drugs in terms of global reactivity descriptors under paradigm of QSPR/QSAR study. Investigation of antimicrobial activity of the compounds was done by using Gram- positive (S. aureus, S. mutans and B. subtilis) bacteria. The global descriptors nicely correlate the variation of activity with structures of the drug molecules
