Purpose: To determine the influence of records management policies on service delivery of selected government parastatals in Mombasa County, Kenya. Methodology: The study used mixed method research approach and descriptive research design. This study’s target population comprised of 9 government parastatals located in Mombasa County. The study used simple random sampling method to obtain 3 parastatals which were Kenya Coconut Development Authority [KCDA], Kenya Maritime Authority [KMA], and Kenya Ports Authority [KPA]. The study used simple random sampling method to obtain 269 operations staff who answered open-ended questionnaires. This study conducted a pre-test study at Kenya Ferry Services Limited whose respondent were 27 operations staff randomly selected and distributed in all departments. Reliability and validity were also measured. The study analyzed descriptive statistics which comprised of frequencies, percentages and mean. The findings were presented through tables, figures and narratives. Findings: The study established that as a result of training staff on records management, time efficiency had been enhanced which reduced the complains made by the citizen seeking the services. Additionally, parastatals had put effort to not only develop policies but also implement them in manual and digital work settings. Some of the purposes of these policies needed staff to be oriented to enable easy comprehension. Notably, government parastatals had not yet put enough effort towards ensuring that changes in polices were notified to the staff. This left the staff to make personal initiatives on how and where to get the records management policy manuals. As a result, there were increased cases of loss of records especially when changes in policies affect the database. Therefore, these findings will be relevant in ensuring that training and development in regards to records management and policies is scaled to a even more higher level. This is to ensure that clients get the best while at the same time the staff are there to issue high standard services. The study recommends that the management should employ strict measures such as assigning the task of distribution of policy manuals to staff in departments. This could be done through sending emails to staff notifying them on policy change. Additionally, the management should maximize on use of social media platforms such as departmental WhatsApp groups to facilitate easier dissemination of information to the staff. Unique contribution to theory, policy and practice: Records management has a significant influence on delivery of selected government parastatals in Mombasa County, Kenya. That is, records management influences service delivery through provision of information that would enable decision making and gave a chance to the public to ask questions on unsatisfied records policies. There is need to ensure that the decision-making process is enhanced through the use of quality records to avo

Purpose: The purpose of this research was to produce a work that will resolve the problem of neglecting the importance of sports and hobbies vocabulary in our national educational system in South Sudan. It will also work as a catalase of change in the Southern Sudanese system of academic development. Methodology: A desktop literature review was used for this purpose. The study's relevant seminal references and journal articles were identified using Google Scholar and other database engines. Findings: The findings revealed that the main problem in learning English in South Sudan is the curriculum's lack of English vocabulary related to Sports and Hobbies. And this results negatively in a flawed educational system in which school leavers are graduated from their schools with little knowledge, if not ignorant, because sports and hobbies knowledge is totally or entirely ignored in setting our curriculum. Unique Contribution to Theory, Policy, and Practice: The new idea in this study is to give importance to vocabulary related to sports and hobbies as the shortest way to help learners and indicate the necessity of sports and hobbies to be part of our culture and to pave the road for their existence as part of our national phenomenon. Besides, it will significantly contribute to the actual knowledge of the academic community's current understanding of their subject. Moreover, this research will challenge other research on learning English as a Foreign Language in South Sudan because it looks deeply at the root of this problem. This poorly planned educational system never gives room for new ideas to develop. Besides, this proposal will also provide a solution for ignoring sports and hobbies vocabularies in our educational system and will help inject English vocabulary into our curriculum development. Being the first in South Sudan, this research will significantly help teachers, students, the Ministry of Education, at home, and whoever wants to learn vocabulary related to sports and hobbies. It will also be helpful and reachable for many people learning English as a foreign language. It will also help provide English vocabulary related to sports and hobbies through research in our educational system.

Purpose: Government agencies are mainly known as knowledge-intensive organizations. In order to exploit effective knowledge sharing, they have to develop practical knowledge sharing implementation approaches. Nevertheless, strong demand and expectation from citizens for efficient service delivery, coupled with global challenges in the knowledge-based economy have fuelled the need for government agencies to consider the effective implementation of knowledge sharing as a strategy to improve service delivery. Effective knowledge-sharing initiatives have the potential to benefit government agencies in view of their role. This paper aims to identify the core issues in knowledge-sharing initiatives that government agencies face in delivering effective policies, particularly in their role and influence in the construction industry. Results: Based on a critical review of literature on knowledge sharing in government agencies, dysfunctional bureaucracies, training, utilization of information technology, and adaptation to culture were identified as key issues. Unique contribution to theory, practice and policy: It is recommended that a balanced approach and support to these issues and challenges in implementing knowledge sharing initiatives are duly considered together with attention given to effective leadership, strategic alignments, capability, and capacity building among teams.
