As competition increases, pressure on employees to perform better also increases, leading to job stress. This unmanaged stress affects employees’ well-being, resulting in hindered performance and a decline in work quality. Hence, job stress and performance are crucial research topics. The primary goal of this research is to investigate the effects of job stress on employee performance and the moderating role of job crafting. As COVID-19 has altered the normal performance of work functions, this study focuses on the effects of stress on the performance of remote work employees who were the target sample for this study (n=175). The sample was chosen by convenience sampling and the data were tested and analyzed using SPSS. The results suggest that job stress negatively impacts employee performance and job crafting positively moderates this relationship in remote workers. Furthermore, the results generate valuable insights into the efficacy of job crafting to counter the effects of stress, particularly on employees’ task performance. Keywords: job stress, employee performance, task performance, job crafting, remote work employee.

The research article is based on new historicist technique and presents a comparison of the ‘national narratives of Pakistan and Bangladesh’ about 1971 war embodying the theme of secession. Therefore, for current research work, the ‘literary and non-literary texts[1]’ of both Pakistani and Bangladeshi writers have been selected. These representative texts about the discourse of separation and liberation, and 1971 war present dissimilar and opposing ‘national narratives’ about the whole event and 1971 war. This contrastive comparative textual analysis has helped the researcher to note and record disparities that how issues are taken and interpreted, even manipulated, at different levels, within a single society or nation for upholding and protecting vested (personal) interests. Keywords: Plurality, history, national discursive narrative, 1971 war.

Better health care necessitates referring patients from the community to the medical center, and a key role in this regard is played by Community Health Workers (CHWs). In Pakistan, Lady Health Workers (LHWs) carry out the same function by referring patients to medical facilities for treatment especially for females of reproductive age. The objective of the current research was to gain understanding what female beneficiaries thought of LHWs' referral services. It was a quantitative research, and the theoretical basis of the study was the social ecology model. The respondents to the study were female LHW clients who had used referral services and were between the ages of 15 to 49 years. An interview schedule served as the tool for gathering data, and the participants were chosen using a proportionate systematic random sampling. According to the study findings majority respondents had an excellent experience regarding the referral services of LHWs to some appropriate health facility at proper time. Based on the study's findings, it is recommended that this human resource be used to provide maternal health care to other impoverished areas in an effort to raise women's health status, as timely referrals to the appropriate medical facility can save many women' lives. Keywords: Referral, Community Health Workers, Lady Health Workers, Services, Maternal and Child Health

This paper explores the politics of exclusion in India and the threats it poses to the country's liberal democracy and regional integration. Using a qualitative research methodology, the paper uncovers how exclusionary policies in India have created serious threats for democracy and regional integration under Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The paper argues that politics of exclusion is increasingly becoming a threat to liberal democracy in India, citing instances like the Citizenship Amendment Bill (2019), erasure of certain chapters on Mughal history from textbooks, National Register of Citizens in Assam, increasing mob lynching, and revocation of Article 370 and 35A related to Kashmir. Furthermore, paper argues that such events are a threat to regional integration by impacting cross-border migration, cultural exchanges, and diplomatic relations with neighboring countries. Overall, the paper suggests that India must address the challenges posed by the politics of exclusion and promote inclusivity and diversity in all aspects of society to foster a more harmonious relationship between India and its neighbors in South Asia. Keywords: Politics of exclusion, Liberal democracy, Regional integration.

COVID-19 has had serious consequences on the socioeconomic lives of people worldwide. This study examined how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the socioeconomic conditions of people in the district of Faisalabad, Pakistan. A multi-stage sampling technique was used for this purpose. In the first stage, the Faisalabad District was selected randomly. In the second stage, two tehsils, Faisalabad City and Faisalabad Saddar, were selected, and two Union Councils were selected for each selected tehsil. Two colonies were selected from each Union Council. Selections were performed at each stage using a simple random sampling technique. In the third stage, 25 respondents were selected from each area using systematic sampling techniques. Thus, 200 participants were selected from the selected areas. In the fourth stage, data were collected through A carefully planned interview schedule aligned with the research objectives. The data that was gathered was subjected to analysis through the utilization of SPSS. The data that was gathered underwent analysis through the utilization of descriptive statistical methods. The results of this analysis are then presented in a visual format, such as tables and figures. The results of the study revealed that the majority of respondents indicated that COVID-19 had impacted their socioeconomic lives in terms of a reduction in income, disturbance in education due to the closure of educational institutes, and increased fear of the spread of the pandemic. Furthermore, this study also revealed that the prices of basic necessities of life increased significantly, which in turn increased economic hardship for the poor. The results showed a significant relationship between respondents’ perceptions and their economic, social, public health, and educational implications. Key Words: COVID-19, Public Perception, Socioeconomic impacts, Outbreak, Faisalabad.

The current study investigated how the teacher’s use of storytelling, among other strategies, for teaching qualitative research affected the learning experiences of research students in the Zoom classroom. This study assumes that the ability to learn through dialogic interactions between people, materials, and objects is crucial to the success of the process. Semi-structured interviews were conducted for data collection from ten MPhil (Educational Leadership and Management) research scholars at a private university. The results found storytelling to be a highly effective tool in producing reflective learning outcomes in the research class. In addition, storytelling prevented research students from being distracted in class. Moreover, digital storytelling helped research scholars build in-depth knowledge and skills of various aspects of qualitative research methods. Keywords: Reflective learning, Qualitative research, Storytelling methodology, engagement and motivation, Higher education.

This research aims to examine the portrayal of violence in Pakistani Feature Films while developing a comparative analysis during the eras of late military dictator General Zia and former Primer Pakistan Benazir Bhutto. As, the two regimes have opposite governance mechanisms; socio-political and religious approaches, wherein cultural activities were practiced with two different lenses. Gen. Zia’s regime imposed cultural sanctions on entertainment programs including films, dramas, and newscasting in the name of enforcing the Islamic system of governance, whereas Benazir Bhutto’s regime provided freedom of expression for liberal thoughts, showbiz programs, and movies on women empowerment. However, this research hypothesis the physical, verbal, and psychological violence portrayed in feature films produced during the regime of Zia was more than the violence portrayed in movies produced during Benazir’s regime. Researchers employed a quantitative approach with content analysis as a research method. Based on the equal allocation method, 5 movies in Urdu and Punjabi languages were taken from Zia’s era, and five movies from Benazir Bhutto’s era. A coding sheet was developed with the assistance of trained coders while dividing data sets into different variables involved in physical, abusive, and psychologically oppressive acts. The study approved cultivation theory as ideas cultivated through films were gratified by the viewers. The results reveal that the time and scenes portraying violence in movies produced during Zia’s era were much higher as compared to the era of Benazir Bhutto. Results showed the steps of women’s empowerment and cultural liberation were reflected in the movies. The women felt empowered and free from any religious or cultural or social taboos involved in creative achievements. The research suggested the government should step forward and design certain definite benchmarks with the recommendations to the Censor Board to adopt and ensure violence-free movies. Keywords: Abusive Language, Comparative Study, Content Analysis, Feature Films, Physical Violence, Women Empowerment

Much attention is paid to the importance of building envelopes these days and it is seen that many façade problems have been solved by taking inspiration from nature. Biomimetics is the science that allows a deeper look into the appearance and behavior of organisms in nature. Biomimetics is solving the building problem by changing how buildings are being constructed as it takes notes from nature. This research uses nature to explore the prospects of efficient building skins that provide desirable and aesthetically pleasing solutions to building problems. Major dealings of the research include identifying core issues in the skins of Commercial buildings of Lahore that lead to inefficiency and inadequate connection between people and place. Since the building envelope separates indoor from outdoor, it is inherent for the façade to be well suited to the energy needs of the building. The main aim of this research is to produce a catalog of building skins based on natural phenomena that could help resolve the major requirements and needs of contemporary architecture in Lahore. An attempt has been made to upgrade building skins by taking inspiration from the various phenomena in nature and applying biomimetic principles of design to enhance the responsiveness of these otherwise mundane and monotonous skins. The catalog for providing façade solutions is developed using biomimetic principles as a core concept and then applying digital tools like Rhino and ParaCloud Gem to find the results in a form of building facades. Keywords: Biomimicry, Nature, Building Skins, Biomimetic Facades, Digital Tools.

For all individuals, regardless of their age, ethnicity or other attributes, reproductive health rights are everyone’s right to make reproductive choices. Reproductive health privileges include the right to access RH related knowledge, insights and to encourage decisions along with the facilitation of reproductive health. The study focuses on the investigation of women’s sovereignty in decision-making regarding their reproductive health. The data was collected through in-depth interviews and focus groups discussion to seek detailed information. A hybrid technique was used to figure out and analyze the data collected from 42 study respondents between age 15-49 years. Results reveal that husband's reported 47.61percent authority of decision making while the role of mother-in-law is reducing as the culture of nuclear family type is increasing. Women also are in a position to engage in decision making process. Patriarchal social practices, and polygyny marriages reduce the decision-making authority of women especially for their maternal health. Study is also backs up by existing studies showing that educational qualification improves the decision-making power of women. According to the Reproductive and Healthcare Rights Act 2013 by national policy of Pakistan, women have a right to reproductive health care information.
