The following research is carried out in order to develop a sweeping model that allows efficiencies in the workforce of the Municipality of Orizaba, reducing the time of sweeping the routes and taking advantage of the resources available, facilitating decision-making for the relevant authorities through simulation. The project was carried out in three stages, contemplating the analysis of the initial information, which allowed us to study the scanning process, identifying the activities that are carried out and how they are carried out, the next stage consisted in the construction of the simulation model through SIMIO which allowed observing the behavior of the data collected, finally in the stage 3 that is currently being developed, an alternative is proposed to improve the scanning process, which will be implemented as a pilot test, as well as contributing to the design of a manual that allows standardizing this process.

The objective of this research is to estimate the income elasticity of demand for environmental services of three ecosystems in Mexico. In the three studies of stated preferences about the willingness to pay for an environmental quality improvement project, we used a sample size of 289 observations for the Primas Basalticos ecosystems and 150 for the La Michilía Biosphere Reserve and the Molino de Las Flores National Park. The selection of interviewees was random among visitors. To carry out the estimation, a cluster analysis was carried out to determine the income strata, where the indicator was formulated and calculated in each ecosystem for three income strata (high, medium and low) based on a segmentation of the consumers of recreational services through the two-stage clustering method. In this way, the recreational services of the three ecosystems in both cases behave as a normal good; that is, if the income of the high and middle income consumer increases, the demand for recreational services will increase less than proportionally.

The objective of this research was to analyze two applications that use pictograms installed on a mobile device with the Android operating system, through surveys applied to teachers, family members and students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to evaluate the criteria of usability, functionality, and accessibility. The Omega coefficient was used to evaluate the reliability of the applied instruments so as not to depend on the number of items, the acceptable value should range between 0.70 and 0.90. The evaluations obtained in each one of the surveys were: for teachers of the Multiple Attention Center (CAM) of Tehuacán 0.707 and for parents 0.705, demonstrating that the reliability of the instrument that was applied is adequate. With the results of this analysis, areas for improvement were detected focused on the development of a new mobile application adapted to the needs of students with ASD from the Tehuacán CAM, and as a contribution of a Mexican development in this segment.

This project allows knowing the degree of degradation of disposable diapers using two different biodegradable agents: Isoptera Termites and Activated Sludge. For this degradation process, used diapers were used that contained liquid waste and in their original complete form, for the degradation control the following physicochemical parameters were evaluated: pH, TDS, CE, Temperature, % of degradation, mass and volume reduction. Being part of a very useful product on the market, diapers become part of the large amount of urban solid waste that is generated by excessive use over the years, becoming one of the most notoriously present wastes along with plastic waste. The search for an alternative to accelerate degradation made it possible to compare the best result to contribute to the improvement of the environment

Data mining techniques allow extracting the hidden knowledge in big data sets generated in any field, particularly in the educational field. With the help of this kind of techniques and specialized tools, it is being carried out an analysis of the EXANI-II data bases of the Aguascalientes State (México) corresponding to the 2013 year, whose main purpose is the identification of the factors that impact negatively the academic performance of senior high students, as well as the definition of strategies to reinforce the weak aspects identified in this performance. The models generated as fundamental part of this study will be validated in a subsequent study by using the data corresponding to the 2014 year, in such a way that the generated models have a high level of confidence at the moment of being used. A preliminary data analysis has suggested using mainly the techniques of classification (decision trees) and clustering (grouping by sector) in this study.

Forage corn is a crop in greatest demand in the Comarca Lagunera. The objective is to obtain the models for the production indicators of forage maize hybrids, which could improve the production systems. The variables evaluated were: leaf area index (IAF), number of leaves and dry matter (DM). The DM model as a function of the IAF was 17.13 grams plant per unit of IAF. For the days after sowing (DDS) a production of 5 grams plant / elapsed day was found. For IAF based on DDS, 0.36 units of IAF were obtained per day and the IAF increased by 0.65 units as a function of the number of leaves. It is concluded that the behavior of the evaluated variables provides results of linear and polynomial regression models, with different levels of reliability, which allow future estimates to be made to choose the hybrids that best adapt to the region.

On Earth there are a hundred natural chemical elements, but living beings that inhabit used only twenty. Numerous metals make up this group, many of them essential for agencies to complete their life cycle. However, while some are essential for survival, excess or the presence of others can be toxic or even lethal. The plants have developed specific mechanisms absorb and accumulate nutrients, however, some metals and metalloids are absorbed and accumulate in the plant because they exhibit an electrochemical behavior similar to the required nutrients. Absorption of Copper and Nickel by plants is the first step of entering the food chain, metabolic character due to the ability to accumulate metals in their tissues. The test objective was to know the results of recent research to elucidate the function of copper and nickel in plant nutrition.

This research was throughout 2018-2020, filamentous fungi of agricultural importance were isolated from the Cerro Las Tetillas, located in the municipality of Salvatierra, Guanajuato. The hill was divided into three strata: upper, middle and lower. Two hundred soil samples were taken at depths of 0-15 and 15-30 cm. These were processed in the biology laboratory, belonging to the Higher Technological Institute of Salvatierra. Two isolation techniques were used: direct seeding and serial dilutions, over Petri dishes with potato dextrose agar culture medium and 100 mg of streptomycin to control bacteria. One hundred and thirteen axenic strains corresponding to 16 genera identified from “Cerro Tetillas” were obtained. At the upper stratum, 13 genera were identified, while in the middle and lower strata, nine genera were identified in each one of them. The diversity of soil fungi found in the different strata of the hill may be due to physicochemical characteristics of soil, native vegetation, interaction and abundance of soil fungi species, human disturbance and rain runoff.

The evolution of the SARS-CoV-2 Virus in recent months in the world and especially in Mexico has also created changes in the patient’s treatment and their laboratory studies, as is the case of patients admitted to the CECCS in Salamanca, Guanajuato, in which after months of caring for COVID-19 patients, new relevant laboratory studies were added (Ferritin and D-Dimer), therefore updates were made in statistical analyzes, and day-to-day behavior. The study is based on updating and cleaning the database, taking a sample of more patients with COVID-19, statistical analysis including admission tables, Body Mass Index, Variance, Normalization, relationship between the first day and the last day of patients who died and lived. The main idea of the work is to learn with more detail those laboratories that contain information to study in the future if there is a relationship between any medication supplied with the improvement or aggravation of the patient.
