Forward-flyback converter with snubber-feedback network for contactless power supply applications 带缓冲反馈网络的前向反激变换器,用于非接触式电源

This paper presents a proposed forward-flyback converter with the snubber-feedback network for the contactless power supply applications. In order to reduce the component count and volume, the output inductor and transformer are integrated with the proposed magnetic integration technology. Since the contactless power supply has the low conversion efficiency and low load regulation, the snubber-feedback network is applied to overcome these drawbacks. In the snubber-feedback network, an auxiliary winding of the integrated transformer is utilized as both the magnetic-loop voltage feedback and the lossless snubber inductor. A prototype circuit of the 15W forward-flyback power converter is built to verify the performances, such as load regulation, voltage stress on the power switch and efficiency, comparing with conventional one.

DC-side shunt active power filter for line commutated rectifiers to mitigate the output voltage harmonics 用于线路换向整流器的直流侧并联有源电力滤波器,以减轻输出电压谐波

This paper proposed a shunt active power filter connected to a 6-pulse converter DC-side to compensate converter output voltage harmonics. It is controlled to inject the compensation current necessary to generate harmonic voltages across an inductor connected in series with the load to achieve a load voltage with a reduced ripple factor. Moreover, the load current is indirectly compensated. The compensation simulation results are for a medium line voltage of 3.3 kV. Finally, practical results are included using a scaled down prototype 6-pulse converter to verify the derived expressions and the performance of the proposed control system. Harmonic spectrum analyses are presented for the simulation and practical results to validate compensation effectiveness.

Dual converter active filter and balance compensation on electric railway systems using the open delta transformer connection 双变流器有源滤波与平衡补偿在开式三角变压器接线中的应用

This work presents a filtering and unbalance compensation scheme for electric traction systems with open delta transformers using dual converters. The proposed method uses an active filter controlled with the instantaneous active and reactive power, to reduce the harmonic current distortion and the negative sequence present in the railway system under unbalanced operation in steady state. The dual converter controls the voltage level in each sub converter. The modulation method used is commonly known from literature and the option of clamping one of the sub converters is exploited to minimize the switching. The use of dual-converters in active filters and balance compensation reduces the voltage level across the power devices. The dual converter is implemented using conventional two level three phase converters. The method has been experimentally validated, and the results prove the proposed controller advantages.

High efficiency power amplifier based on envelope elimination and restoration technique 基于包络消除与恢复技术的高效功率放大器

Due to complex envelope and phase modulation employed in modern transmitters it is necessary to use power amplifiers that have high linearity. Linear power amplifiers (classes A, B and AB) are commonly used, but they suffer from low efficiency especially if the transmitted signal has high peak to average power ratio (PAPR). Kahn's technique based on envelope elimination and restoration (EER) is based on idea that high efficiency power supply (envelope amplifier) could be used to modulate the envelope of high efficient non linear power amplifiers (classes D or E). This paper presents solutions for power amplifier that performs envelope modulation and class E amplifier that is used as a non linear amplifier. The envelope amplifier is implemented as a multilevel converter in series with linear regulator and can provide up to 100 W of instantaneous power and reproduce 2 MHz sine wave. The implemented Class E amplifier can operate at 120 MHz with efficiency near to 85%. The envelope amplifier and class E amplifier have been integrated and efficiency and linearity of the implemented transmitter has been measured and presented.

A model-based controller in rotating reference frame for Hybrid HVDC 混合高压直流旋转参照系中基于模型的控制器

In this paper, a model-based controller is proposed for Hybrid HVDC, Hybrid comprising a Voltage Source converter (VSC) using in the sending side and Line-commutated Converter (LCC) using in the receiving side. This type of HVDC may be applied when power is only in one direction for example HVDC for offshore wind farm applications. VSC controls directly the instantaneous active and reactive power using a synchronous reference frame controller while the LCC maintains the DC voltage using a proportional-integral (PI) controller. It also proposed in this paper, when AC grid is weak, to replace the LCC for a capacitor commutate converter (CCC) because of the additional commutation voltage reduces the risk of commutation failure. PSCAD/EMTDC simulations are provided to illustrate the performance of the proposed controller under normal operation and severe disturbance such as three phase-to-ground AC and DC faults.

Application of a hybrid discharge reactor with D-A mixed control in phenol degradation D-A混合控制混合排放反应器在苯酚降解中的应用

The organic compounds such as the phenol, the acetic acid, and so on in wastewater are always decomposed by using a hybird gas-liquid discharge reactor. A Digtal-Analog (D-A) mixed control method is employed in the power control to satisfy the stringent requirements of the degradation process with extra high voltage output. Zero voltage transition (ZVT) soft switching performance is achieved to reduce the switching losses for all the primary power switches. The experiment results indicate that the amount of chemical oxygen demand (COD) is declined clearly and rapidly by the hybird gas-liquid discharge reactor with D/A mixed control solution. The removal of COD is related to the plasma reactor operation parameters.

DC-link voltage control for Switched Reluctance Drives with reduced DC-link capacitance 直流链路电压控制开关磁阻驱动器与减少直流链路电容

This paper presents a simple control method for Switched Reluctance Drives that enables the implementation of significantly smaller dc-link capacitors compared to conventional SR drive inverters. This is achieved by a direct control of the dc-link voltage. During the commutation of two neighboring phases, the switching states of the outgoing phase are chosen and alternated in such a way, that the dc-link voltage stays within a predefined range. The implementation is similar to a conventional current hysteresis control. In this paper, first an introduction to the problem is given followed by the description of the proposed control. The functionality of the control is shown by computer simulations and proven by measurements. Due to the fact that the control manipulates the current shape during demagnetization, also the influence on the overall drive efficiency has to be studied, which is done by computer simulations at the end of this paper.

Design of low-profile nanocrystalline transformer in high-current phase-shifted DC-DC converter 大电流移相DC-DC变换器中小尺寸纳米晶变压器的设计

In the high-current phase-shifted DC-DC converter, the high-frequency transformer is a key component. Its conduction loss needs to be reduced and the leakage inductance needs to be specifically tuned. This paper investigates the design of low-profile nanocrystalline transformer for high-current phase-shifted DC-DC converters. The core dimension optimization to minimize the transformer loss is proposed. A lossless method of tuning the leakage inductance of the transformer, suitable for low-profile nanocrystalline transformer, is discussed. Designed for a dual active bridge (DAB) converter with high current transients, the planar transformers with both ferrite (3C90) and nanocrystalline (FT-3M) materials are compared. From these comparisons, the benefits and drawbacks of the low-profile nanocrystalline cores are identified.

Electromechanical characterization of “flying” Planar Gate Punch Through IGBT bare die 通过IGBT裸模“飞行”平面浇口冲孔的机电特性

The effect of mechanical stress on the power dice is investigated by considering the application of mechanical stress on a Punch Through Planar Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor under static electrical characterizations. Specific test vehicles and test bench for applying a tensile or compressive mechanical stress are described in detail. Furthermore, 2D finite element simulations are carried out to understand the device behavior by internal physics analysis. The impact of the mechanical stress cannot be neglected. Indeed, the results show a similar tendency between simulations and experiments for two static electrical characterizations: the output characteristics are sensitive to mechanical stress whereas the effect is negligible on the breakdown voltage. The case of the threshold voltage shows a disparity between experiments and simulations. Globally, such silicon property might be a key point to propose a real-time monitoring of the mechanical state evolution of the power assemblies.

Modularized bi-directional grid-tied inverter with asynchronous sigma-delta modulation 模块化双向并网异步调制逆变器

The objective of this paper is to propose a modularized bi-directional grid-tied inverter (BGI) with asynchronous sigma-delta modulation (ASDM) control for the renewable energy (RE)-supplied DC power system. The proposed BGI can be operated either in the grid-tied mode (GTM) or the power factor correction mode (PFCM) which is necessary features for the RE-supplied DC power system. The proposed BGI with ASDM control scheme has the merits of circuit simplicity, quick response, and low electromagnetic interference. Moreover, the proposed BGI has redundant central controller which can increase the system reliability. The major contribution of this paper includes that developing the modularized BGI with ASDM control scheme for GTM and PFCM operations thoroughly and applying it to the RE-supplied DC power system successfully. In this paper, the mathematical equations of the proposed BGI with ASDM will be derived. Computer simulations and hardware experiments are shown to verify the performance of the proposed modularized BGI with ASDM control.
