Ground vibration around adjacent buildings due to a nearby source 由于附近震源引起的邻近建筑物周围的地面振动

This paper provides a research on dynamic analysis for multiple buildings on layered media, where the lumped masses are used to model the structures, a thin layer method approach is used to model the layered soil, and the mixed boundary value problem is solved using the discretized Green's function method in frequency domain. Coupling effects of multiple structures are evaluated with an iterative approach. The problem is solved for different types of soil deposits in urban areas in Japan, where the results indicate the effects of the layering on ground vibration around the buildings with different heights and separate distances.

Effects of train-induced ground vibrations by stiffening structures 加劲结构对列车诱发地面振动的影响

For the purpose of reducing environmental vibrations along the Shinkansen super-express track, we constructed trial concrete piers of a rigid-frame bridge to increase its cross-section. We made comparisons of data as measured and derived by the running of Shinkansen trains with dynamic simulation results by two or three-dimensional numerical analyses before and after the trial construction of piers. We studied the change of vibration property and adaptability of the numerical model. In these models we altered the parameters of composition members or inserting braces, and discussed about important factors to comprehend the characteristics of vibrations by stiffening structures of rigid-frame bridges.

Impact analysis and absorber design for collision protection of part-buried structures 部分埋地结构碰撞防护的冲击分析与减震器设计

Based on the p-version finite element method (FEM), an elasto-plastic impact model abandoning the Hertzian contact law for the collision protection of part-buried structures is presented. With the model, one can predict the whole impact process including the impact force and responses of the impactor and the structure automatically and straightforwardly. An impact experiment of a three-dimensional column-plate structure attached with elastic and elasto-plastic absorbers is carried out to verify the proposed model. For the engineering application, some Cellular Reinforced Concrete Blocks (CRCBs) with different strength are designed as impact absorbers. Unlike steel and Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP), the proposed blocks would not be easily rusted and aged. The quasi-static tests prove that they have the excellent energy absorbing characteristic. These blocks are used for protection of the T structure resisting the famous Qiantang tide and protecting the dams at both sides of the Qiantang River.
