Mathematics plays a crucial role in human lives in terms of calculation with the use of numbers and different operations. Human health needs proper attention and error-free calculations. It is imperative for the people in the health sector to have the knowledge and skills required by the health workers based on a different area to carry out the job properly. The application of various skills in Mathematics is needed during the outbreak of any strange disease to protect people's lives and reduce the rapid spread of such disease. In this article, the history of the past pandemic, and COVID-19 were discussed. The Post COVID -19, and the skills needed were explained. The roles of Mathematics knowledge in the COVID -19 were highlighted, and the roles of Mathematics knowledge and skills in the Health sector were explained. It was therefore concluded, that, Mathematics serves as an important tool in health, and the health workers must possess basic knowledge of the skills required in different health fields. It was recommended that the healthcare professionals must undergo in-service training in the required Mathematics skills relevant to their specific area of specialization to avoid the error that can increase the mortality rate. Regular training is needed in the technology used to carry out successfully the test and practical aspects of their work with zero or minimal error.

Similar to its influence on other spheres of life, globalisation is changing the teaching and learning context, causing universities to explore new curriculum formats that may offer better fit with diverse student learning needs. One such format in the intensive mode delivery (IMD) category is the block – release part – time degrees programme, which comprises conventional traditional approaches and open and distance learning aspects. This case study sought to find out if the Bachelor of Education (BED) Degrees block release part – time programme offered in Zimbabwe by University R at Teachers’ College M as a centre, was developing desired teacher competences. Through structured interviews, data were collected from teacher educators and in – service teachers / teacher candidates in the programme. Coding and data reduction cumulated into themes upon which interpretation was based. Findings show that the BED block release part – time programme is a viable option which equips in – service teachers with degree qualifications for effective secondary school teaching and learning. However participants raised concerns about lack of time for them to develop competences in using learner – centred strategies. Teacher educators’ modelling of application of learner – centred teaching and learning strategies and teaching and learning media were identified as empowering in developing desired competences for in – service teachers to facilitate learning of diverse learners. However, based on findings, it is recommended that textbooks, time and teaching and learning media which currently lack, should be made available in the block release part – time degrees programme at University R centres, to ensure that in – service teachers are fully prepared to facilitate learning, through learner – centred strategies.

Students' mathematical motivation is an important factor in understanding mathematics. Many studies have shown that students who have high motivation to learn mathematics, get better achievement than students who have low motivation. However, research that provides instruments to measure the mathematics motivation scale is still rare. This research aims to: (1) Describe the process of developing the Student Mathematics Motivation Scale (SMMS) instrument, (2) Describe the results of developing the Student Mathematics Motivation Scale (SMMS) instrument. This research model uses survey research with mixed methods. The research subjects were Junior High School students in MTs. 2 Nurul Islam, Mojokerto, Indonesia. This research produced 19 questions containing 3 main indicators, they are intrinsic goals, extrinsic goals, and perceptions of mathematics. The validity test results show a very good level of validity, as well as a high category of reliability (α = 0.817). Therefore, this instrument is very good for measuring students’ mathematics motivation scale.

This study aims to explore the mathematical elements contained in the center of the sanitation industry in Malang City. The Sanitary Industry Setra is in the form of flower pots, gravestones, tombstones, fountains, hand washing stations, chairs, and so on. The object is an object of exploration based on an ethnomathematical point of view. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of ethnographic research. The subjects in the study were sanitary ware craftsmen in the Karangbesuki area of Malang City. The subject is experienced and has a fairly large turnover. Data collection techniques in the study were carried out by observation or direct observation in the field, interviews, and also by studying literature. This research will provide evidence that without realizing it, people have applied the concepts of comparison, calculation and mathematical measurement in creating an object of crafts that have been carried out since ancient times. The mathematical implementation carried out by craftsmen produces crafts in the form of spatial geometric shapes such as: blocks, tubes, half balls, and others. In creating craft objects, researchers also found the concept result from geometric transformations such as: of translation, rotation, and also reflection on some of the crafts produced.

This research will provide evidence that without realizing it, people have applied the concepts of comparison, calculation and mathematical measurement in creating an object of crafts that have been carried out since ancient times. the lecture style still dominates and the content does not match the actual situation, so the activity and learning outcomes of the 2nd-grade students of Yos Sudarso Elementary School for the 2022/2023 academic year are still not good. The overarching aim of this study is to outline how to introduce a Problem-Based Learning pedagogical framework to enhance student engagement and knowledge retention. This study followed the format of Classroom Action Research (PTK) in two cycles. This research involved 28 students from SD Yos Sudarso Purwakarta. Data collection methods, including test and nontest methods. Quantitative and qualitative descriptive analyzes were applied to the data. The results showed that the proportion of active students increased from 21.42 percent or as many as six students in the pre-cycle to 53.57 percent or as many as fifteen students in cycle I and to 78.57 percent or as many as twenty-two students, in the second cycle. The pre-cycle KKM achievement level was 53.57 percent (15 students), the first cycle achievement level was 78.57 percent (22 students), and at the second cycle achievement level all students achieved KKM scores of 28 students
