Macroeconomic Determinants of China's Housing Prices 中国房价的宏观经济决定因素

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the long-term impact and short-term dynamics of macroeconomic variables on China's housing prices. The Vector Auto-regression (VAR) model has been applied. The empirical results suggest that an equilibrium relationship exists and in the long run the gross domestic product growth rate (GDP growth), consumer price index (CPI) and Shenzhen composite stock index (SI) emerge as the most important variables for housing prices. The outputs of Granger causality test also indicate that these three variables are all granger causes of housing prices. The dynamic analysis shows that the CPI followed by the housing price lagged variable is the variable with the most explanatory power for the variation of the housing prices. In the short-run, housing prices responses to the shock of itself apparently than the shocks from the rest.

Enterprise HACCP Adoption Motivation and Influence Factors Analysis 企业采用HACCP的动机及影响因素分析

As the most stringent and effective food quality assurance system, the hazard analysis and critical control point (HACCP) system is widely valued by global food companies. Foreign research shows that the motivation of adopting HACCP in the enterprise will affect its implementation effect of the quality assurance system. Based on the large sample research of HACCP certified or validated food enterprises, in the form of questionnaire survey, this paper uses the factor analysis method to analyze the influence factors of enterprises with different characteristics adopting HACCP. The results here show that the motivation of enterprises adopting HACCP varies with the basic characteristics of the enterprise. "Sales network" has a positive impact on the strategic motivation, the enterprises that have exported products are more inclined to adopt HACCP initiatively; the enterprise scale is larger, the strategic motivation tendency is more obvious; meanwhile, the impact of "sales network" to the followership motivation is also significant.

Valuation of Personal Information in the E-commerce Websites based on Contingent Valuation Method 基于条件价值法的电子商务网站个人信息价值评估

Personal information is the common wealth of consumers and producers, and the phenomenon of using personal information for commercial purposes is particularly prominent in the field of E-commerce. However, there is no clear judgement on the value of personal information in the existing market transaction process. By summarizing the basic concepts and valuation methods of personal information, this study introduced the contingent valuation method (CVM) which was widely used in the valuation of non-market value of public goods into the value assessment of consumers' personal information. In the empirical research process, the combination of open-ended pre-survey and dichotomous choice contingent valuation method (DCCVM) was adopted; for the consumers of online movie ticketing platform, the first 300 questionnaires were issued to obtain the initial bids, and then the 661 questionnaires were issued to get their willingness to accept (WTA) for providing the platform with personal information. Finally, using willingness-to-accept model, this study gets the average value of consumers' age and home address information on movie ticketing platform and confirms that the CVM is an effective method to assess the value of personal information based on individual perspective.

Coordination of Pricing Decisions in a Cloud Computing Service Supply Chain 云计算服务供应链中定价决策的协调

This paper establishes a two-tier cloud computing service supply chain model composed of an application infrastructure provider (AIP) and an application service provider (ASP). Aiming at the pricing problem of cloud computing service supply chain computing capacity, the queuing model of cloud computing service supply chain is established. Afterwards, we analyze the profitability of supply chain members and design a two-part tariff to make the leasing price of cloud computing service be agreed on. Finally, the validity of two-part tariff is verified by numerical analysis.

The Research Proposal of Racial Inequalities against Asian American in College Admission based on Regression Model 基于回归模型的亚裔美国人在大学录取中的种族不平等研究建议

Although the data from different literature materials and other related researches presented give us essential evidence of racial and ethnical inequalities in admissions to college, it is still not enough to prove the assumptions on the basis of empiricism study. From this case, in order to strengthen the finding from previous researches and make it more precise, this paper presents a research proposal of developing a statistical model to access the degree of racial preference in college admission.

The Guanxi Influencing Effectiveness of Advertisement in Social Media: An Analysis of Netizen's Perception in Vietnam 关系对社交媒体广告效果的影响:越南网民感知分析

This study aims to explore how Confucian philosophy - guanxi influences the effectiveness of advertisement in social media under Vietnamese context. This study used an online survey and hierarchical regression approach to test the research framework. Drawing on a sample of 341 respondents in Vietnam, the results show that (a) the guanxi still have critical impact on the effectiveness of advertisement in social media, (b) the purchase-decision involvement plays a minor role of moderating the effect of guanxi, especially the thought of renqing, (c) the Xinyong shown the strongest positive impact on the effectiveness, then following by renqing and ganqing. We also propose several practical implications for those who want to improve advertisement's effectiveness via social media in Vietnam.
本研究旨在探讨在越南情境下,儒家哲学关系对社交媒体广告效果的影响。本研究采用在线调查和层次回归方法对研究框架进行检验。以341名越南受访者为样本,研究结果显示:(a)关系对社交媒体广告效果仍有重要影响;(b)购买决策介入对关系效果的调节作用较小,尤其是人情思想;(c)新勇对社交媒体广告效果的正向影响最强,人情和干情次之。我们还为那些希望通过越南社交媒体提高广告效果的人提出了一些实际意义。

The Bankruptcy of Long-term Credit Bank of Japan and the Implications to China Development Bank 日本长期信贷银行破产及其对中国国家开发银行的启示

This paper studies the bankruptcy of the Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan by examining the external and internal context during late 20th century. Then the paper carries out study on China Development Bank with the similar approaches of internal and external analysis. By comparing and contrasting between these two banks, the paper concludes similarities and differences, and finally draws lessons from LTCB's failure and offers implications to CDB in its future operation.

Is a College Degree Worth Pursuing?: Evidence from BHPS Dataset 大学学位值得追求吗?:证据来自BHPS数据集

The returns to education have become a hot topic since the 1990s. In this paper, we first present the OLS estimates and it shows that an additional year of schooling can increase monthly wages by 8-9%. However, because of the bias that is caused by the endogeneity of years of schooling, 2SLS estimates are also presented. The results from 2SLS show a 7.3% return to an additional year of education, which coincides with Angrist and Krueger's estimates. [1] Using the results from our data, we also estimate whether it is worthwhile pursuing a college degree with the increase in college tuition fee since 2012 in the UK, and find that on average the returns to a college degree is slightly lower than the opportunity costs.

Study on the Legal Status of Association Standards Bodies in China under the Background of Standardization Reform 标准化改革背景下中国协会标准机构法律地位研究

China's standardization reform is under way. There is a new kind of standard which is association standard. Who can develop association standard is a critical factor to China's standardization reform. The State Council of China published in 2015 and in 2017. In these two documents there are different definitions for the association standard developer. This paper studies the criteria for the subject that be held civil liability as provided by General Rules of the Civil Law. Based on the analyses of characteristic of standard developers at home and abroad this paper points out that association standards developers shall be a legal person. After examining requirements for social organization as formulated by Ministry of Civil Affairs this paper insists that in addition to associations, foundations and non-profit organizations have a status of legal person and shall be accordingly classified into a category of association standards body. Even those alliance that have not been registered within the Civil Affairs Department can also be association standards developers.

The State Council of China published <Plan for Furthering the Standardization Reforms >in 2015 and <Revised Draft Standardization Law of the People's Republic of China >in 2017. In these two documents there are different definitions for the association standard developer. This paper studies the criteria for the subject that be held civil liability as provided by General Rules of the Civil Law. Based on the analyses of characteristic of standard developers at home and abroad this paper points out that association standards developers shall be a legal person. After examining requirements for social organization as formulated by Ministry of Civil Affairs this paper insists that in addition to associations, foundations and non-profit organizations have a status of legal person and shall be accordingly classified into a category of association standards body. National Cultures Impact on Organizational Performance of International Organizations: A Comparative Analysis of International Development Sector Firms Working in Pakistan 国家文化对国际组织绩效的影响:对在巴基斯坦工作的国际发展部门公司的比较分析

The research study focuses on national culture and effects on the strategies and performance of international organizations working in Pakistan, which is further compared with domestic organizations. The research incorporates various factors such as language barriers, power distance, responsibilities and gender differences that have direct impact on overall performance of the organization. The research is purely qualitative research using interview analysis as the main data collection tool. The analysis is done in two parts. The first partdiscusses comparative analysis from the perspective of Geert Hofstede's and Edgar Schein's cultural dimensions while the latter discusses the findings of the research. The findings of the research manifests that there are various cultural factors that are responsible in shaping up the organizational performance. Additionally the working environment has a direct effect on the employee performance and organization's profitability.
