: Sensors are widely used in various applications. In order to make the data handling easier, the sensors are being connected into sensor networks. A new sensor network was proposed. It is a wired network with analogue signal transmission. The purpose of this work has been to build a functional prototype, design tests for performance evaluation, execute them and evaluate the results. Based on the measured data, the network was declared functional as a concept. It can be usable in standard or lower precision applications. However, it is not recommended for high precision applications at the time due to accuracy and consistency issues.

, K. Jamroziak Abstract: This paper presents the examination of laminates on a thermoplastic polypropylene (PP) matrix. A preliminary homogenization of the system was performed using a scanning electron microscope (SEM). Numerical simulations were carried out and the energy dissipation of 9x19 mm Parabellum with a velocity of 360 m/s ± 10 m/s was analyzed. The results of the simulation were compared to real samples after their overshot in the ballistic test. The aim of the study was to determine the ballistic limit of material systems intended for ballistic protection against pistol and revolver bullets. The optimization of laminates for personal protection was aimed at reducing Back Face Deformation (BFD), which is the replacement measure

: Laminated glass is used in automotive industry for almost a centrury. Recently its use has expanded widely in civil engineering, where it play structure role. For safe and efficient design of laminated glass ele-ments it is important to implement material models which correctly predict its behavior including after rupture. The contribution provides theoretical background and implementation aspects of such a model. It is focused mainly on post-breakable behavior and paves the way for extension to impact loading.

This paper demonstrates a signal processing approach designed to overlay data sets measured using two optical micrometers. Two sensors are used in order to measure object’s shape, but measured signals are relatively shifted, because it is impossible to mount sensors into the same position. Correlation method are applied to measurement data and the shift between these sets are evaluated.

: The presented analysis deals with a procedure how to compute electric energy consumption of electrodynamic valve actuator of combustion engine. The main aim of the electrodynamic valve control is to ensure independent valve lift and timing. Magnetic field of the actuator was determined using finite element analysis software. The paper also deals with an optimizing of the actuator coil. Forces from the flue-gas acting on valve is included in this model. Valve lift, coil current, voltage and electric energy consumption are graphically shown.
