Dissimilar metal welded joints are commonly used in the nuclear sector to connect pressure vessel ferritic steel pipe nozzles to austenitic stainless steel safe-end pipes. Stainless Steel 316 and Nickel 201 dissimilar joints are focused on by utilising a 4KW CO 2 laser welding machine in this study. Mechanical parameters such as ultimate tensile strength (UTS) and hardness survey were used to identify a high-quality welded junction. The tensile stress was found to be 412 Mpa, and the fracture occurred outside the weld zone on the nickel side. The tensile test shows that the weld was strong enough to break through the base metal. The profile of the weld bead is critical to ensure that it is a strong weld junction. Some delta ferrite has been observed in the interdendritic zone in microstructure studies, along with columnar grains during solidification, all of which point to successful fusing in the joint between the two dissimilar metals. With the 4 kW CO 2 laser welding machine, it is possible to join materials that are completely different from each other.

Analysis of Phase and Time Jitter of Various Electronically Modulated Near Infra-Red Optical Waveforms for Deep Breast Tissue Imaging 乳腺深部组织成像中各种电子调制近红外光波形的相位和时间抖动分析

: Breast Cancer is a second deadly cancer disease and more than 2 million new cases are being reported annually in recent years. Early diagnosis and mass screening is validated as an effective tool for better disease management. Development of non-invasive affordable first level screening techniques is required for efficient mass screening. The proposed system consists of a near infra-red optical transmitter connected with signal modulator and receiver coupled with a demodulator mechanism. A modulated optical waveform provides deep tissue details by high tissue penetration. The constant signal wave form generator and signal oscilloscope were connected for wave generation and measurement. The optical waveform is digitally modulated by eight modulation techniques at the transmitter side and demodulated at the receiver side. The normal spot and cancerous spot of the breast phantom model are placed in the path of optical transmitter and the reflected signal is received by the receiver prior to demodulation. Phase Jitter, Time Jitter and 3dB noise level were measured from the received signal for the normal as well as cancerous spot of the breast phantom. The difference of phase and time jitter between normal and cancerous spot is observed. There is no significant variation is observed in the 3dB noise level. Phase and time jitter variation among different modulation techniques is provided. The results are indicative that the proposed method can be used for breast imaging as a first in-line imaging tool for mass screening. Also the proposed system can be utilized along with ultrasonography as a hybrid imaging modality.

This work objective is to improve the quality of the disc brake component by minimizing the number of defects during production. The manufactured disc brake has over 20 manufacturing defects which increases rework in the production unit. Here the statistical approach is used to analyze the rejection rate for the 20 different manufacturing defects in the production unit. Analysis of the rejection component for 20 manufacturing defects is carried out using the ANOVA test, chi-square test, and Regressive test is done to find the difference between the observed and expected rejected components for the various manufacturing defects. Then the causes for the manufacturing defect are analyzed using a Pareto chart. By, this Pareto chart analysis the exact reason for the manufactured disc brake will be studied. This investigation makes the organization unit focus on the area where the defect rate can be reduced. This statistical study makes the manufacturing unit identify the key reason for the 20 different defects in their production. Also, this defect rate minimization helps them to produce defect less quality disc brakes to retain their customers in future.

Predicting and detecting cardiac illness using machine learning and data mining approaches is extremely clinically useful, and further progress will be quite difficult. Heart disease early-stage prediction can be improved by using digital patient data to provide analytical support for clinical decision-making in countries throughout the world where cardiovascular knowledge is lacking and the number of erroneous diagnoses is high. Many supervised machine-learning algorithms were utilised in the study to find classifiers with the highest accuracy in predicting heart disease. They were also discriminated based on their performance and accuracy. The goal of the study is to use AI (Artificial Intelligence) to diagnose cardiac disease in both normal and pathological settings. Various AI technologies are expected to be used, with DNN (Deep Neural Network) outperforming the others. This is predicted by the analysis an updated spider monkey optimization (USMO) technique has been proposed for the DNN as a means of determining optimal weights. The investigation's findings reveal a precision of 96.77 percent in the Cleveland database and a precision of 100 percent in the Hungarian database.

In this work, both mechanical properties and durability indices of supplementary cementitious material are considered. Agricultural and Industrial wastes like Sugarcane Bagasse Ash (SCBA) and Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBS) are utilized as supplementary cementitious materials. The main objective of the present study is to determine the effect of supplementary cementitious materials, its mechanical properties and durability indices upon alkali activator solution. To develop concrete containing sugarcane bagasse ash and ground granulated blast furnace slag using alkaline activator solution. This study is to determine the optimal replacement of OPC with SCM and compressive strength of different mix ratio concrete.

Aluminum alloys are widely applied in almost all the industries due to its distinctive characteristics like less weight, good thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance etc. Machining is inevitable in manufacturing processes as it can be used to accomplish any shape with high precision. The negative aspects of conventional wet machining drive researchers to search for different alternatives. Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) is one such prominent and successful substitute. Turning is one of the foremost machining processes performed on cylindrical jobs. In this study, the cutting parameters engaged during turning under MQL carried out on Aluminum 6063 alloy are optimized to improve surface quality and also with the development of regression equations, the surface roughness is predicted. Vibration during turning is studied and correlated with surface roughness to find the influence. The contribution of cutting speed, depth of cut, feed rate, cutting tool nose radius and overhanging length of workpiece on surface roughness is also determined in turning. The optimum combination of cutting parameter levels for minimum surface roughness in turning is found and recommended for economic and efficient machining of Aluminum 6063 alloy under MQL condition.
