Murrel striped, Channa striata is a high-demanded food fish in different countries with significant therapeutic properties. customer preference and continual market demand claim its candidacy in small scale farming. Keeping in view current research work was design to elucidate impact of feed regimes taken from different sources and their effect on survival and growth of snakehead fish. To determine impact of different feed regimes five different feeds were selected to obtain best food for Channastriata reared in cemented cistern Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Sakrand Sindh, (SBBUVAS). It was observed from outcome of the study that the C.striata showed best growth when fed with chicken viscera applied in treatment I (129.10g), followed by chopped small fish and live small fish treatments III and IV (10.30 and 8.29 g) respectively. Feed V (pellet feed) determined significantly low growth and survival rate (70.44g). The mean initial weight of 5.0 ± 1.0g reached to the final weight of 125.50g in treatment I with 100% survival rate. It was concluded that chopped chicken viscera were found to be best food for rearing of C. striata fish. Reading of different water quality parameters as pH (power of hydrogen ion concentration) salinity, temperature, nitrate and Total dissolved solids were taken and found to be in the safe limits as recommended by (WHO 2012) and also good to support the survival, production and growth of aquatic biota especially for fish growth.

The current research involved the isolation of fungal species from spoiled fruit samples gathered from markets in Chichawatni. The method used for isolating filamentous fungi from infected parts of the fruits involved culturing on a Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA) medium following surface sterilization. The isolated fungal species were found belonging to the Geotrichum genus based on morpho-anatomical analysis. This study was aimed to isolate, characterize and identify the filamentous fungi associated with post-harvest spoilage of ber and guava being sold in Chichawatni. Findings of this work could lead to the development and recommendation of appropriate strategies for post-harvest disease control
