In multiple beyond the standard model (SM) scenarios, the 125 GeV Higgs boson (H) can decay to light pseudoscalars (a), each of which decay into two photons, resulting in a four photon final state. We present a search for exotic decays of the SM Higgs boson in the four photon final state using 132 fb − 1 of proton-proton collision data collected by the CMS experiment at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. This analysis probes pseudoscalars that range in mass from 15 GeV to 60 GeV and decay into photons that are reconstructed as resolved objects in the CMS electromagnetic calorimeter. Although the branching fraction for a → 𝛾𝛾 is subdominant, the low backgrounds in the four photon final state make it important to study. These new results, the first in the four photon final state from CMS, set limits on the product of the production cross-section of the SM Higgs boson times the branching ratio of H → 𝑎𝑎 → 𝛾𝛾𝛾𝛾 , as a function of pseudoscalar mass.

The outstanding performance of the LHC during Run 2 data taking let the ATLAS Experiment to collect a massive dataset of ?? collision at √ B = 13 TeV. This impressive availability of data to analyse paves the way to the research of rare events, as test of the Standard Model validity. One of the most interesting process is the production of CC̄CC̄, an ultra rare process predicted by the Standard Model and very sensitive to new physics contribution. The ATLAS experiment has targeted the measurement of this process in two separate analyses, focused in two different detection channels. These analyses led to the first evidence of CC̄CC̄ production with an observed (expected) significance of 4.7 (2.6) standard deviations in their combination.

The High-Luminosity phase of LHC, delivering five times the LHC nominal instantaneous luminosity, is scheduled to begin in late 2027. The ATLAS Tile Hadronic Calorimeter (TileCal) will need new electronics to meet the requirements of a 1 MHz trigger, higher radiation dose, and to ensure sound performance under high pile-up conditions. Both the onand off-detector TileCal electronics will be replaced during the shutdown of 2025-2027. PMT signals from every TileCal cell will be digitized and sent directly to the back-end electronics, where the signals are reconstructed, stored, and sent to the first level of trigger at a rate of 40 MHz. This will provide better precision of the calorimeter signals used by the trigger system and will allow the development of more complex trigger algorithms. The TileCal upgrade program has undergone extensive R&D and beam tests. A "demonstrator" module has been tested in actual detector conditions. We present the results of these studies.
