Distance Laplacian Spectral Radius of the Complements of Trees and Unicyclic Graphs 树与单环图补的距离拉普拉斯谱半径

Let $G$ be a connected graph and $D^{L}(G) = operatorname{Tr}(G) - D(G)$ be the distance Laplacian matrix of $G$, where $operatorname{Tr}(G)$ and $D(G)$ are diagonal matrix with vertex transmissions of $G$ and distance matrix of $G$, respectively. The $D^{L}$-spectral radius of $G$ is defined as the largest absolute value of the distance Laplacian eigenvalues of $G$. In this paper, we characterize the unique extremal graphs which maximize the $D^{L}$-spectral radius among the complements of trees and unicyclic graphs, respectively.

Complex Ball Quotients and New Symplectic $4$-manifolds with Nonnegative Signatures 复球商与非负签名的新辛$4$流形

We construct new symplectic $4$-manifolds with non-negative signatures and with the smallest Euler characteristics, using fake projective planes, Cartwright–Steger surfaces and their normal covers and product symplectic $4$-manifolds $Sigma_{g} times Sigma_{h}$, where $g geq 1$ and $h geq 0$, along with exotic symplectic $4$-manifolds constructed in [7, 12]. In particular, our constructions yield to (1) infinitely many irreducible symplectic and infinitely many non-symplectic $4$-manifolds that are homeomorphic but not diffeomorphic to $(2n-1) mathbb{CP}^{2} # (2n-1) overline{mathbb{CP}}^{2}$ for each integer $n geq 9$, (2) infinite families of simply connected irreducible nonspin symplectic and such infinite families of non-symplectic $4$-manifolds that have the smallest Euler characteristics among the all known simply connected $4$-manifolds with positive signatures and with more than one smooth structure. We also construct a complex surface with positive signature from the Hirzebruch's line-arrangement surfaces, which is a ball quotient.

Structure of Rings Whose Potent Elements are Central 有效元素位于中心的环的结构

We study the structure of potent elements in matrix rings with same diagonals and polynomial rings, motivated by Jacobson's theorem of commutativity. A ring shall be said to be PC if every potent element is central. We investigate the structure of PC rings in relation to the commutativity of rings. It is proved that if $R$ is a PC ring of prime characteristic then the polynomial ring over $R$ is also a PC ring. Every periodic PC ring is shown to be commutative.
