RHEOLOGY OF STRUCTURED LIQUIDS. “NEUTONIAN” BEHAVIOR 结构液体流变学。“NEUTONIAN”行为

The behavior of low molecular weight non-Newtonian fl uids (liquid paraffin, silicone oil, FC70 oil) in which shear thinning is observed at low shear rates is considered. Over a large range of high shear rates, a behavior similar to the “Newtonian” behavior is observed, where the shear viscosity is practically constant. An explanation of this type of “Newtonian” fl ow from the point of view of a structural rheological model is proposed.

INFUENCE OF ADSORPTION LAYERS OF POLYELECTROLYTES ON THE WETTING AND MODIFICATION OF THE POLYSTYRENE SURFACE 聚电解质吸附层对聚苯乙烯表面润湿和改性的影响

The adsorption of cationic and anionic polyelectrolytes from aqueous solutions on the polystyrene surface was studied by quartz crystal microbalance and contact angle measurements. It is shown that, despite the multilayer nature of adsorption, only a monolayer of polyelectrolyte macromolecules is rmly retained on the polymer surface, and the polystyrene surface is hydrophilized. It is shown that with complete monolayer lling of the surface, the degree of modi cation of the polystyrene surface does not depend on the nature of the studied polyelectrolytes, and the modifying monolayers provide the value of the polystyrene/water interfacial energy, which indicates the potential biocompatibility of the material based on the modi ed polystyrene.

The expression of PD-L1 protein was quanti ed in 56 samples of urothelial bladder cancer (BC). PD-L1 expression was detected in all BC samples, while in non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) the median value is 1,5 times higher than in muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) (p = 0,001). High PD-L1 expression level (≥30%) was observed in 20% of MIBC samples and among NMIBC tumors - in 68% of cases, that is 3,4 times more often (p = 0,0004). The last fact justi es the prospect of starting therapy with immune checkpoint inhibitors already at the onset of the disease - at NMIBC.

It is shown that the removal of CO2 from the gas can be realized in a disk lm absorber using water as an absorbent. The proposed technical solution is focused on solving various decarbonization problems.

COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE CAPABILITIES OF MOLECULAR SPECTROSCOPY METHODS IN STUDYING INTERNAL ROTATION 分子光谱方法研究内旋能力的比较分析

In the review the comparison of the methods used to study internal rotation (IR) in the ground (S0) and excited (S1) electronic states in the series of α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds: R4R3C = CR2-COR1, where R1 = H, R1 = F, R1 = CI; R2 = H, R2 = CH3, R2 = F; R3 = R4 = H = CH3, is made. Differences in the values of (0-v)-transitions of torsional vibration for s-trans- and s-cis-isomers for some studied compounds are revealed in the methods of analysis of the vibrational structure of n-π*-transition of high-resolution UV absorption spectra and IR-Fourier-spectra, used in the study (IR) in (S0) electronic state. The reasons for such differences are established. It is shown that in the (S0) state a more reliable determination of the values of (0-v)-transitions of torsional vibration of both isomeric forms of molecules was obtained in the method of analysis of the vibrational structure of n-π*-transition of UV absorption spectra. A new assignment for transitions of torsional vibration of the s-trans isomer of acrolein in the spectrum of the Cavity Ringdown Spectroscopy (CRDS) method in the excited (S1) state is proposed. It is concluded that the method of analyzing the vibrational structure of n-π*-transition of high-resolution UV absorption spectra of vapors of the studied compounds is more reliable and accurate when studying (IR) in both electronic states.

The results of studies in which the complex of physicochemical methods studied the relationship of self-organization, physicochemical properties and bioeffects in dilute aqueous solutions of various biologically active substances sustained under natural and reduced levels of external physical fields (geomagnetic, low-frequency electromagnetic), as well as when exposed to ionizing radiation solutions. The established patterns can be used to create a scientific base related to the clarification of the mechanisms of the negative influence of hypomagnetic conditions on the functioning of living organisms necessary to ensure the normal operation of the ecosystem of spacecraft during flights.

Since 1968 on 1992 Eudoxia Mihajlovna Sokolovskaya was the head of the chair of the general chemistry, and up to the beginning of this century she remained the unique woman heading chair of a chemical profi le in the Lomonosov Moscow State University. The main sphere of professor E.M.Sokolovskaya activity – the basic researches on development of the theory of the physical and chemical analysis. Under her management where prepared more than 120 candidates of science and 12 doctors of sciences. The results of the works are published in more than 500 scientifi c articles and in three monographies. For the outstanding merits in the fi eld of a science and for successful pedagogical activity it has been awarded ranks of the Honourable Professor of the Moscow State University, and also ranks “the Honored worker of a science of RSFSR”, awarded the order of Friendship of the people.

The main sphere of professor E.M.Sokolovskaya activity – the basic researches on development of the theory of the physical and chemical analysis. Under her management where prepared more than 120 candidates of science and 12 doctors of sciences. The results of the works are published in more than 500 scientifi c articles and in three monographies. Polymers are widely applied as drug delivery systems and implant coatings. The review is devoted to the mechanisms of interaction of biomedical polymers with model cell membranes (liposomes) and real biological objects - bacterial cell surfaces. A comparative analysis of the composition, structure and surface charge of different types of biological membranes has been outlined. We consider the main methods and approaches for studying the effect of polymers on the structure and physico-chemical properties of membranes to uncover adsorption, defects in the bilayer, violations of the integrity of the bilayer, changes in cell morphology, etc. The correlation between the observed effects on model and real objects is analyzed. One of the important tasks of the review is to discover the key polymer’s characteristic (structure, size, charge, etc.) for the design of new high-molecular compounds with specified biological properties.

INFLUENCE OF KU70 GENE KNOCKOUT ON TRANSFORMATION FREQUENCY OF PENICILLIUM VERRUCULOSUM MYCELIAL FUNGI ku70基因敲除对疣状青霉菌丝真菌转化频率的影响

To increase the frequency of homologous recombination (HR) during the transformation of the industrial strain Penicillium verruculosum 221-151 (VKM F-3972D), the ku70 gene encoding the Ku70, which binds at the sites of double-stranded DNA breaks and is involved in the repair process by the non-homologous end joint (NHEJ), was knocked out by the CRISPR/CAS9 method. Presumably, the new host strain, P. verruculosum ΔniaDΔku70, should have had an increased frequency of homologous recombination during transformation in comparison with the host strain P. verruculosum ΔniaD due to the integrative insertion of the expression cassette only by the HR mechanism. The pep1 gene encoding homologous aspartate protease was chosen as a marker. However, it was shown that the knockout of the ku70 gene led to a dramatic decrease in the frequency of co-transformation in the P. verruculosum ΔniaDΔku70 strain compared to the P. verruculosum ΔniaD strain at the same load of exogenous DNA (3 μg). The number of copies of the pep1 gene in recombinant strains of the P. verruculosum Pep1 (with a native Ku70) series ranged from 3 to 28 copies, which indicated the predominance of the non-homologous recombination mechanism.
