The aim of the present study was to evaluate the influence of water deficit on the growth of french beans. The fruits were obtained in September 2019. The experiment was conducted at the Education, Science and Technology Center of the Inhamuns Region CECITEC, State University of Ceará UECE, city of Tauá-Ce. The seedlings were produced by direct seeding, in plastic cups (200ml) using 100g / cup of substrate. Four treatments (T0, T1, T2 and T3) were performed in three repetitions (P1, P2 and P3). Evaluation was performed at 15 days (initial) and 30 days (final) to determine the height, number of leaves and size of roots with the aid of a ruler. The water deficit was noticeable in the T1, T2 and T3 treatments. T1 showed vegetative development of -2.84 cm for the height of the plants; for the leaf number -2 and -3.33 cm in the root size in relation to the T0 group. The T2 group showed -2.84 cm for the height of the plants; 1.67 for the number of leaves and -3 cm in the size of the root length in relation to the T0 group. And the T3 group showed vegetative development of -1.54 cm for the height of the plants; there was no difference between the number of leaves (zero) and there was a small variation of 0.67 cm in the root size of the plants in relation to the T0 treatment. It is concluded, therefore, that the difference in water regime had a significant effect on the studied variables, modifying the development of plants.

A vegetacao secundaria em Floresta Estacional Decidual compreende maiorformacao florestal, quando comparado com as comunidades arboreas semintervencao antropica. Fato este que justifica os estudos em areas alteradas, paracompreender como essas formacoes estao organizadas em especies e de acordocom as condicoes do ambiente. Nesse sentido, o presente estudo objetivou analisaras variaveis ambientais que influenciam na composicao da comunidade arborea emuma area de encosta de Floresta Estacional Decidual. Para isso foi amostrada avegetacao em 50 parcelas de dimensoes 10 m x 20 m, totalizando 1 ha de floresta. As variaveis ambientais utilizadas para analise foram: propriedades quimicas e fisicas do solo, topografia, cobertura de dossel e pedregosidade. Pelo programa Rrealizou-se uma PCA e NMDS. As variaveis de relevo, cobertura de dossel e o teorde fosforo no solo foram as mais significativas. As caracteristicas morfologicasexternas, como declividade e cobertura de dossel, influenciaram mais na formacaoda comunidade do que as caracteristicas do solo.

The coriander (Coriandrum sativum L) is a hardwood vegetable of great commercial value in Brazil, among the producers of the northeast region the cultivar Verdão is widely exploited to produce green leaves. Although culture is of great importance, the scarcity of information about the production and commercialization of coriander is a problem. The experiment was conducted at the Center of Agricultural Sciences and Biodiversity (CCAB) of the Federal University of Cariri (UFCA), with the objective of evaluating the effect of the number of seeds planted and the orientation of the crop lines on the productivity of Verdão. The experimental design was a randomized block design with 4x2 factorial treatments, corresponding to four sowing densities (1, 2, 3, 4 g m-2 of seeds), and two orientations at the site (North-South, East-West) with three replicates. The following were evaluated: plant height; number of plants per square meter (NP), area fresh mass (MFPA); productivity and root mass per square meter (MFR). Statistical analysis of the data was performed using the SISVAR 5.3 program (FERREIRA, 2011). The results were submitted to analysis of variance and regression analysis. The variables that presented significant difference were evaluated by the Tukey test at 5%. The cultivation lines at the north-south plot were more advantageous to obtain plants with higher height and higher amount of MFPA, but showed no difference in the productivity of MFPA / m, however more studies are needed to clarify its effect on the increase of coriander productivity.
