Summary The paper shows results of the archaeological research conducted at the site Stari grad Ljubuški, in Ljubuški. Those excavations were of great significance because they were the first archaeological excavations of that remarkable Herzegovinian monument known among the people as "Kula hercega Stjepana". Conservation and restoration work followed the archaeological excavations. They will save the fortress from the collapse, since some parts of its walls and other constructive elements were almost destroyed or already collapsed. Archaeological research conducted by the Department of Archaeology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Mostar, came up with many interesting data and numerous movable archaeological finds that will be displayed in the museum collection planned within the fortress and available to the general public. All the mentioned activities related to archaeological research and conservation and restoration work were organized in the framework of two EU cross-bor-der cooperation projects: FORT-NET and Heritage REVIVED. The results of the conducted archaeological research will be pu-blished for the first time in this paper.

Summary The paper analyses presence of medieval Bosnia-Hum rulers and potentates in the latest street nomenclature in the area of two Herzegovinian cantons (Herzegovina-Neretva and West Herzegovina). The street nomenclature analysis showed that eleven Bosnia-Hum rulers and potentates were represented in the cities and municipalities with Croatian majority population. Compa-ring the obtained data to results of the research related to the presence of the medieval Croatian rulers in the odonyms of Herzegovina, the authors came to the conclusion that medieval Croatian rulers are more significantly represented in the Herzegovinian toponymy than Bosnia-Hum rulers and potentates.

Based on kadi sicils and Franciscan chronicles, this paper seeks to present a picture of everyday lives of Christians and Muslims during a turbulent period, marked by political turmoil, unrest and general insecurity. Attacks, murders and various other acts of violence were part of everyday life. The ruling class of the time often abused their position and acted beyond their authority, putting additional pressure on the Christian population and further aggravating their social position and security within Eyalet of Bosnia. The efforts of the authorities to protect reaya were only temporarily effective in stopping the violence. The

Kingdom was pointed out in all celebrations the Croatian Peasant Party participated in. Large number of Croats were involved in the celebrations organized all over Bosnia and Herzegovina, what contributed to strengthening national consciousness and developing Croatian national identity. Numerous memorial pla-tes, names of streets and squares as well as monuments with the name of King Tomislav remind us of the celebration.

Summary The article analyzes presence of medieval Croatian rulers in the names of streets and squares in two Herzegovinian cantons (Her-zegovina-Neretva and West Herzegovina). The analysis of the street names showed that Croatian medieval rulers were represented in the cities and municipalities with Croatian majority population. Comparing the obtained data to results of similar research in the Republic of Croatia great similarities can be noticed. Namely, Croatian early medieval rulers - dukes and kings (11 of them were commemorated in total), among whom Croatian kings dominated, were represented to a much greater extent in both Herzegovinian odonyms and largest Croatian cities. As it is expected, King Tomislav is on the first place in Herzegovina. Difference can be noticed in the case of naming the street after Duke Zdeslav, who has not been commemorated in any of the ten largest Croatian cities and one street in Herzegovina (in Posusje) was named after him. The difference is also evident in commemoration of the Hungarian-Croatian rulers. None of the rulers of the Kingdom of Hungary and Croatia has been commemorated in the ten largest Croatian cities, while there is one in the Herzegovinian odonyms - Matija Korvin.
