This study analyzed the trends of interaction research in the field of Korean language education and suggested implications and future research tasks. The papers analyzed for research trends were theses published in the Korea Research Foundation's nomination lists by October 2023. Since the aspects and methods of interaction are quite different depending on whether the teaching-learning space is offline or online, I first categorized papers according to these two criteria, and then subdivided them into sub-areas in terms of research topics and methods. Research on interaction in the field of Korean language education began to appear in the 2000s. The major turning points in the transformation of offline and online teaching and learning environments were around 2010. Until the early 2010s, almost all classes were held face-to-face, so research on interaction was centered on classroom instruction. The commercialization of high-speed internet in the 2010s greatly improved the environment for online education and diversified educational media. In the field of Korean language education, attempts have also been made to utilize online educational media and contents. Serious research on interaction in online educational environments has also been conducted since the mid-2010s. However, at this time, online classes were mostly based on stored contents. Then, in 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, almost all classes were shifted to a non-face-to-face online format. As a result, online education mediums have diversified to include learning management systems (LMS), YouTube, mobile apps, online video lecture platforms, metaverses, and social media. As a result, interaction in online educational environments has emerged as an important issue, spurring research. Interaction research in offline teaching and learning environments has been focused on observing and analyzing the interaction patterns between teachers and learners and between learners and teachers. However, most of the research is limited to analyzing the interaction patterns. Therefore, it is necessary to find specific ways to apply them to future classes and teacher training. Next, in the case of interaction research in online-based teaching and learning environments, online learning is becoming more popular. However, the lack of interaction between instructor and learner, learner and learner, and learner and learning contents is still a problem that needs to be solved. And a new aspect of interaction in language education is worth paying attention to. This is the interaction with ChatGPT. The emergence of generative AI such as ChatGPT is revolutionizing the paradigm of mass education systems based on achievement standards and achievement levels. Therefore, research on interaction based on this is also an important future research task.

This thesis attempted to explain the narrative situation of Choi In-hoon’s short story can be said to be a novel that falls into the form of a return journey. In this case, the work focuses on internal changes or reflections before leaving the journey and after returning. And the process is conveyed in the narrative method. That is the main use of a narrative method called free indirect discourse, and shows the process of self-reflection to construct a new self. What the free indirect discourse method intends in is the effect manifested when the character’s thoughts and feelings are inserted into the narrator’s narration or when the narrator’s voice intervenes. This serves the function of allowing the reader to capture the process of how an individual’s inner self relates to the world. For example, free indirect discourse is creating an effect that allows now only symbolic signs such as the desert, trimming nails, and Jesus, but also unconsciousness such as dreams and hallucinations to operate as a mechanism for reflection. Choi In-hoon’s narrative style like this stems from his perception of reality, which tries to respond with thoughts or actions that develop inside the individual rather that directly intervening in reality. For this reason, the work of identifying self-reflection is related to understanding Choi in-hoon’s ideality as a reality with methods and customs.

This study is a meta-criticism of Performance Studies conducted in the Korean theater academia from 2000 to 2023 on the subject of performativity and theater. The subjects of the study are 100 domestic academic papers published in domestic academic journals, and the purpose of the study is to reveal the overall trends, limitations, and significance of the Korean Performance Studies. As a resul t of anal yzing the research patterns into four categories: materiality, semiotics, media, and aesthetics, performance studies were mainly limited to genre aesthetics, and there was a lack of research on the communication methods of materiality at various levels, and problems with methodological techniques in the writing process. The most significant fact is that the Korean traditional performance and modern and contemporary theater have begun to be reread and reflected under the keyword of performativity. In addition, Korean Performance Studies have been conducted on how to use it in various areas and expand it into life beyond theater arts.

Philosophers regard the human desire for happiness as an instinctive act, and utilitarians also say that the desire for happiness is a ‘principle of nature’ given ‘from the beginning.’ J. Bentham and J. S. Mill say that it is natural for humans to pursue utility. They say that axioms as principles of nature are unprovable. If the majority of people only consider their own interests, the community will turn into a selfish society. Even though the attitude of humans pursuing utility is a principles of nature, if we remain in that state, the community will become a society that pursues only private utility. Accordingly, this article first discusses axioms as natural principles. This paper then points out the limitations that appear when the pursuit of utility remains limited to the pursuit of individual interests. Additionally, this article suggests the need to move beyond axioms based on natural feeling to utility based on social feeling. Axioms based on social feeling is utility pursued by individuals as moral beings. Lastly, this article presents the role of the individual as a ‘moral being’ and the direction for public utility.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the utility of Kant’s theory of justice as a means of cultivating ‘police professionalism’. Firstly, we will seek the fundamental meaning of ‘police professionalism’ in relevant legal regulations. Subsequently, we will investigate whether Kant's categorical imperative explains ‘police professionalism’. Following this, we will analyze a survey conducted among police officers who participated in a ‘Kantian justice course’ to assess the relevance of Kant’s theory of justice to the cultivation of ‘police professionalism’. The findings suggest that the ‘Kantian justice course’, addressing issues of human dignity, not only contributes to understanding the essence of ‘police professionalism’ but also serves as a compass in seeking the ‘value of life’ as individuals.

The expansion of social networks among individuals has sparked discussions about freedom of expression and its limitations. Due to the development of technology, individuals have been able to share their experiences, knowledge, and thoughts without particular and/or restrictive difficulties. The basis of conversation initiates from comprehension. The public sphere is the product of a great plan through the restoration of reason to overcome the problems of a society that centered only on the pre-modernity. The formation of a public sphere presupposes overcoming the paradoxical situation of rationalization. If we are to leave behind comprehensive dogmatic that we can not compromise on and find topics on which we can achieve ‘overlapping consensus’, we must adhere to minimal rules of communication. Autonomy in a community can be secured by guaranteeing freedom of expression, and the state's restrictions on this should remain in an auxiliary role for the expansion of public reason. What something is valuable doesn't always mean we should enforce it to another. Beyond the belief that freedom of expression is an extension of autonomy through rational resolution of conflicts, we must have the duty to respect others under the value of solidarity.

Water demons are beings that have an inseparable relationship with water, seducing people through their voices and eventually leading them to death. Water demons are dual beings, both human and ghost, and the mechanism of seduction and death through their voices is emphasized. Even to this day, ''‘Water ghost’ stories'' stands out among ''modern ghost stories'' more than any other story, and is actively handed down. In addition to beings called ''Water ghosts'', there are also monster-like water fairies, feminine beings with ''恨'' who seduce and eat people. It is found all over the world, including Germanic mythology, Slavic mythology, and Indonesian legends. They are people and ghosts, and monsters and fairies. Until now, this linguistic gap could not be resolved because the standards and foundations for storytelling had not been established. Now these Water ghost types need to be sorted out and redefined. We have experienced various symbolic dimensions of nature through the presence of water ghosts in the story. The archetype of the Water ghost changes over time, from the Water ghost who tempts people to death with voices from the past to the mermaid princess who sacrifices herself for love. In this paper, I have newly introduced the “Water ghost' stories” and have attempted to establish the types and prototype meanings of new theory of “Water ghost' stories” around the world. In addition to comparing stories from Korea and abroad, focusing on stories in which water ghost appear, we will also consider women's ‘Seizure’ and death through their voices. I would also like to classify the types and clarify the meaning of the original form of the World Water ghost.

We can get a glimpse of Koreans' ideas from our traditional costume culture. Koreans had a communication-oriented community consciousness that recognized clothes as “our clothes” rather than individual exclusive, and thought clothing as a medium for expressing courtesy and wanted to dress with dignity when there were major ceremonies. As shown in the white clothes and seasonal customs, we have enjoyed a dress culture that reflects the purity of nature and awes the birth of life, as shown in the management of newborns. In addition to the activity of dressing, the liberation of humanity created by colors and forms, and the humanity suggested by the restrained line of costume are also noteworthy. On the other hand, we can also find in traditional costumes our spirit of convergence which comes from Eastern relational thinking. Like Korean clothing culture, it is rare for “human and human” to be combined to share clothes with each other and recognize clothes as a means of consideration and respect. And the convergence culture of “human and nature” in line with the change of seasons or the awe of life is unique. In addition, as in our case, it is difficult to find not only the harmony of practicality and aesthetics, but also the convergence dress culture of “things and objects” that reaches the harmony between colors, lines, and forms. It was difficult to find a discussion on the human ideology contained in traditional Korean clothing by approaching humans and humans, humans and nature, and objects and objects. I looked at the characteristics of Korean costume culture through a methodology of convergence.

This study aimed to find out the perceptions of high school teachers about the factors influencing the selection of caree-related subject in order to seek guidance on career elective courses in high school and how to utilize college entrance exams. A questionnaire survey and individual FGI questionnaires were conducted to find out about the perception of the operation of career elective courses and the recognition of evaluation methods, and to collect opinions. Career option courses should be systematically prepared to provide students with opportunities to complete various elective courses according to their career path and aptitude, guaranteeing students the right to choose their courses and realizing customized education so that they can be connected to their majors. In order to operate this, high schools must open and operate various subjects according to the demand of students, evaluate them, and provide them as evaluation materials for college entrance exams. In addition, since universities can be used as evaluation data for selection and recruitment in connection with high school education, information on the university's curriculum must also be shared. This study was conducted from the perspective of high school teachers, and it is necessary to explore the factors influencing career choice course selection from various perspectives in future research.

Vagrancy, a common form of human existence, has been closely linked to the historical process of human civilization and, as a result, has become one of the most frequently employed motifs in literature. In Kim Joo-young’s Stingray and Cao Wenxuan’s The Bird, both the young protagonists departed from home and embarked on a journey of self-growth through their direct and indirect experience of vagrancy, thereby reflecting the similarities in the portrayal of the vagrancy motif. Nonetheless, the writing of the vagrancy motif in the two novels also presents differences, characterized by the contrasting depictions of realistic vagrancy featuring “crisis-escapefreedom” and romantic vagrancy featuring “dream-pursuit-return”. The similarities between the two novels are attributed to the correspondences between the vagrancy motif and the Bildungsroman genre, while the differences stem primarily from Kim and Cao's divergent interpretations of the vagrancy motif, with Kim regarding vagrancy as an essential form of human existence, whereas Cao romanticizes vagrancy as the pursuit of one's dream.
