Mathematical Analysis of Parasitic Elements Influence in Resonant Circuit of RFID Antenna 射频识别天线谐振电路寄生元件影响的数学分析

In this paper a mathematical analysis of parasitic elements (parasitic inter-winding capacitance and loss resistance of inductor, internal resistance of generator) influence on serial resonant circuit is described, because such circuit is often being used as a reader antenna for LF and HF band RFID application. The influence of the parasitic elements on the coil current is analytically investigated. The equations for calculation of optimum value of the antenna tuning capacities and for calculation of the antenna resonant frequencies are derived.

Object Oriented EMT simulation framework for On-Grid Centralized Microgrid 面向对象的集中式微电网EMT仿真框架

The growing demand of electricity can be fulfilled by increasing the generation of electricity. In present scenario the governments are driving to generate electricity with renewable energy technology. Electricity regulators are proposing new regulations to motivate small scale investors and entrepreneurs to invest in the installation of microgrids of 0.5 to 5 MW capacity in order to promote further renewable energy generation. At the same time, strict guidelines is being issued for the appropriate design of the microgrid. There are various design parameters need to be evaluated before the installation of these microgrids. Electromagnetic transient (EMT) analysis is one of the useful tool for evaluating peak voltage, current and insulation coordination for the microgrid. This work focuses to design EMT simulation framework on object oriented platform. The object oriented solver (OOS) is lightweight so it can be executed with processors such as Intel Gallilio and Raspberry-Pi etc. A comparative study of OOS and MATLAB based EMTP-type simulation framework has been presented in tabulated form.

Efficient PRNG Design and Implementation for Various High Throughput Cryptographic and Low Power Security Applications 高效的PRNG设计和实现,用于各种高吞吐量加密和低功耗安全应用

Pseudo-Random Number Generators (PRNGs) are an integral part of cryptographic applications, such as key generations, digital signatures, Internet-of-Things (IoT) security, etc. These applications require low-power and high-throughput PRNGs along with statistically secure random numbers capability. In this paper, we propose two PRNGs by combining/modifying Blum-Blum-Shub (BBS), Xorshift and Permuted Congruential PRNGs. The first one is for general purpose applications and the second one is for low-power IoT applications. We implement the proposed PRNGs on FPGA ZedBoard Zynq™–7000. Our implementation results show that the proposed PRNGs generate 4.83 × 107 and 4.29 × 107 random numbers per-second, respectively. The total dynamic power consumption of the proposed PRNGs is 17mW at 48.31Mhz and 16mW at 42.90Mhz with a maximum throughput of 184.288MBps and 163.651MBps, respectively. We test the proposed PRNGs on Diehard battery suite and US National Institute of Standard and Technology (NIST) SP 800 − 22 suite for the analysis of randomness quality.

A Beam Coding Technique for Direction Finding of Moving Object 一种用于运动目标测向的波束编码技术

Direction finding of a moving object has attracted considerable interest in both military and civilian applications. There are different methods used for estimation of object position. One of these methods is to measure an angle of arrival (AOA) of the echo signal from the object using a monopulse amplitude comparison. Based on this principle, the paper presents a method to determine the deviation angle of an object compared to the cross-over axis called beam coding technique. The technique includes an approach for generating multiple beams, which are shifted in steering angles by applying a Rotman Lens or a Butler matrix and the process to index these beams with different Pseudo-Random Noise codes. Practical measurement is conducted to evaluate the usefulness of the proposed technique. The results from the experiment show that the technique can be applied to localize the position of the moving object.

The Application of the Integration-Differentiation Method for the Measurement of the Fundamental Component of the Reactive Power 积分微分法在无功基本分量测量中的应用

At present, the following concepts of reactive power are observed: reactive power of the fundamental component, reactive power of harmonics and reactive power in a given frequency range. The most important parameter is the reactive power of the fundamental spectral component. In this article the method of the measuring of the reactive power of sinusoidal signal, based on the integration and differentiation of one of the input signal is implemented. The implementation of this measurement method based on the first-order digital integrator and the first-order digital differentiator is taken into consideration. The digital differentiator based on the algorithm of approximation by two samples is considered. The comparison of the considered method with popular method of integration and popular method of continues time delay from the point of view of the measurement error is carried out. The analytical dependence for the calculation of the additional measurement error of the reactive power caused by deviation of signal frequency is obtained. An expression to determine the gain factors of the integrator and differentiator, which allows to minimize the measurement error of the reactive power near the nominal value of the frequency of input signal is obtained. Simulation mathematical modeling by the software package Matlab 7.0 and Simulink 8.0 is performed.

The Automatic Undistortion Strength Estimation for Any Describable Optical Distortion 任意可描述光学畸变的自动无畸变强度估计

A presence of an optical distortion does undesired influence on the geometrical image quality. The main reason of its occurring is using a lens with low or variable focal length or simple camera optics. When an image captured by a camera is affected by undesired distortion and it is used for the distance measurement, it can cause significant measurement errors. The aim of this paper is to introduce a method for finding an optimal undistortion parameter for any optical distortion, which can be described mathematically. The proposed method uses the Hough transformation accumulator and at each iteration step the quality of straight lines is evaluated as a gradient from local maximum. The algorithm is verified and assessed on several images. The developed approach can be used to find the global maximum gradient in general, even when a local maximum changes its size over iterations.

Efficient Partial Firmware Update for IoT Devices with Lua Scripting Interface 高效的部分固件更新物联网设备与Lua脚本接口

The paper introduces a method of efficient partial firmware update with several advantages compared to common methods. The amount of data to transfer for an update is reduced, the energetic efficiency is increased and as the method is designed for over the air update, the radio spectrum occupancy is decreased. Herein described approach uses Lua scripting interface to introduce updatable fragments of invokable native code. This requires a dedicated memory layout, which is herein introduced. This method allows not only to distribute patches for deployed systems, but also on demand add-ons. At the end, the security aspects of proposed firmware update system is discussed and its limitations are presented.

The Impact of PAPR on the Wireless Power Transfer in IoT Applications PAPR对物联网应用中无线电力传输的影响

This paper is dedicated to the experimental study of the impact of multi-tone signal with a high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) on the performance of wireless power transfer (WPT) using a single stage Cockcroft-Walton voltage multiplier with HSMS-285C diodes. The study is done using unlicensed sub-GHz frequencies 863 – 868 MHz in a laboratory under real-life conditions. Two types of design of radio frequency (RF) energy harvesting device (with and without matching network) are used to demonstrate PAPR impact on WPT performance. Eight sub-carriers summed in-phase are used to produce a multi-tone signal with a high PAPR level. For WPT results comparison, a single-tone signal with the same average power is exploited. For the experimental implementation of WPT, pairs of directional (LP0410 Log Periodic PCB) and omnidirectional (VERT900) antennas are used. Moreover, during the experiments the distance between transmitting and receiving antennas is being changed up to 3.2m. The main objective of the experiment is to find conditions when multi-tone signal with a high PAPR provides substantially higher output power compared to single-tone signal. The experimental measurement process includes evaluating the average power at the RF rectifier circuit output for different signals, distances, antennas, and RF-DC converter circuit designs. Furthermore, an additional WPT experiment is performed and the analysis of channel characteristics in the frequency range of interest is done to investigate the reason of the difference between the harvested power using single-tone and multi-tone signals.

Radio Resource Management for Wireless Networks 无线网络的无线电资源管理

This article describes comparison of two intelligent methods used for channel selection for MANET, 5G technology or 802.11 networks. The main point is to show how channel selection influences speed and quality of data routing in wireless, sensor or ad-hoc networks. The article shows the basics of new trends in multi access networks, where effective spectrum is not an option, but a requirement. The article compares differences between fuzzy logic and game theory in channel selection. Each of these methods has some advantages and disadvantages to calculate results. Simulation shows how channels can be assigned to each node in wireless networks based on input parameters. The process of channel and node selection is important in 5G technology and beyond with so many access nodes in networks.

Digital predistortion (DPD) is an efficient technique for linearizing a power amplifier (PA) based on the identification of its inverse characteristic. In this paper, several DPD models are studied and evaluated according to different criteria which characterize accuracy performance and emphasize numerical properties for hardware implementation. The different models are evaluated using a 500-W peak Three-way Doherty power amplifier and compared according to different figures of merit.
