This research is based on problems in the field where children in group B1 TK Handayani Palembang's cognitive ability are still low. The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not there was an effect of the learning model beyond center and circle time (BCCT)on the cognitive ability of group B children in TK Handayani Palembang in 2020. The research method used was the experimental method. Data collection techniques used are observation and documentation. Based on the calculations obtained for the post-test, the normality test of the data obtained is -0.397, and the pre-test is -0.0035. The value lies between (-1) and (1), so that can say that the data for the two classes are usually distributed. The results of the calculation of the data normality test for Fcount Ftable or 1.071 4.67, then the variances are declared homogeneous. Furthermore, after testing the normality of the data and the homogeneity of the data, it is stated that the data is usually distributed and the variance in the study is homogeneous, then the next step is Regression obtained = a + bX, the post-test value is 61.59, and the pre-test value is 61.58. The hypothesis shows an effect of the learning model beyond center and circle time (BCCT)on cognition in group B children at Handayani Kindergarten Palembang with t-test results obtained Fcount 4,090 > F tabel 2,131 means reject Ho and accept Ha is accepted with a relationship excellent.

Pada saat ini kita memasuk era distrupsi, dimana persaingan antar negara semakin tinggi. Untuk menyikapi itu maka kita harus menyiapkan generasi yang mampu bersaing secara sehat, maka dari itu stimulasi berpikir tingkat tinggi (Higher Order Thinking Skill) di berikan sejak dini agar dapat terinternalisasi dalam diri anak. Namun, pada saat ini wabah pendemi COVID-19 menyebabkan beralihnya sistem pembelajaran dari tatap muka menjadi pembelajaran daring namun stimulasi higher order thinking skill harus tetap ada. Untuk itu penting bagi pendidik untuk mendesain pembelajaran yang berbasis pada higher order thinking skill pada ranah anak usia dini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memberikan gambaran secara detail dan mendalam terkait desain pembelajaran HOTS di masa pandemi COVID-19 dalam kajian anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan sumber data pendidik dan kepala sekolah dengan 4 langkah yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskripstif, pengambilan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa desain pembelajaran berbasis HOTS dalam kajian anak usia dini dapat dilakukan di dengan menerapkan student centered learning, pendekatan saintifik dalam pembelajaran, dan penerapan 4Cs dalam pembelajaran yaitu creativitas, berpikir kritis, komunikasi, dan kolaborasi.
