武汉大学化学与分子科学学院历史悠久, 积淀深厚, 是我国建立最早的化学 院系之一, 其历史可以追溯到湖广总督张之洞在汉阳炼铁厂建立的化学学堂, 至 今已有130年历史. 1928年更名为国立武汉大学化学系, 2001年新武汉大学组建 化学与分子科学学院. 百余年薪火相传, 学院名师荟萃、桃李遍五洲. 在几代师 生的不懈努力下, 学院已成为国内外具有重要影响和良好声誉的人才培养和科 学研究基地. 学院现有专任教师134人, 其中教授85人, 包括中国科学院院士1人, 国家级 人才计划入选者46人, 国家级教学名师2人, 已形成一支结构合理的高水平学术 队伍. 学院下设无机化学研究所、有机化学研究所、分析科学研究中心、物理 化学研究所、高分子科学系、应用化学系和化学实验教学示范中心7个二级单 位, 以及大型仪器共享平台和先进技术研究中心. 学院教学科研实力雄厚, 拥有1个国家级实验教学示范中心, 以及生物医用 高分子材料教育部重点实验室、有机硅化合物及材料教育部工程研究中心、化 学电源材料与技术湖北省重点实验室、有机高分子光电功能材料湖北省重点实 验室、湖北省天然高分子基医用材料构建工程技术研究中心以及湖北省化学基 础学科研究中心6个省部级科研平台. 此外, 学院曾获2个国家自然科学基金委创 新研究群体, 2个教育部创新团队和1个国家级教学团队. 学院始终将人才培养放在首位, 目前拥有4门国家级一流课程, 5门国家级精 品课程, 获得2项国家教学成果二等奖, 1项湖北省研究生教学成果二等奖, 4套国 家级规划教材, 其中, 《分析化学》曾荣获首届全国教材建设二等奖、国家科技 进步三等奖、教育部优秀教材一等奖. 化学学科是全国首批进行最高级别认证 的理学专业和国家“双一流”建设学科, ESI排名始终保持在前0.5‰, 获批为化学 拔尖学生培养基地(拔尖计划2.0)和基础学科招收改革试点(强基计划). 2个本科 专业化学、应用化学均为国家一流专业, 并拥有化学、材料科学与工程、化学 工程与技术、材料与化工4个硕士学位授权点, 化学、材料科学与工程2个博士
