Background. Schwannomas are nerve sheath neoplasms that form from Schwann cells. These tumors are normally found as a solitary, painless, slow-growing mass of varied size, and they are usually asymptomatic. The uterine cervix is an exceptionally unusual place of occurrence in the female genital system, and schwannomas are infrequent in this area. The purpose of this case report was to contribute to the growing body of knowledge regarding a rare site of schwannomas incidence and its subsequent implications during a normal and physiologic pregnancy. Case presentation. A 37-year-old lady 0

Objective. High-risk pregnancy (HRP) is characterized as a complex pregnancy when one or more factors have a negative impact on the pregnancy outcome. This study aimed to find out the impact of high-risk pregnancy on the birth weight. Materials and Methods. A comparative case-control study was conducted between 1 st September to 1 st December on 250 pregnant women giving birth at Kirkuk city hospitals. A case group of 125 cases (high-risk pregnancies) and a control group of 125 cases (normal pregnancies) were allocated. Results. The study found that there was a significant association between chronic hypertension(p=0.030), pre-eclampsia (p=0.013), GDM(p=<0.001), placenta accreta(p=0.028), and anemia(P=0.033) and the weight of the newborn. About 8.0% of the women with high-risk pregnancies have had low birth weights, whereas 4.0% reported high birth weights. Compared to 0.8% of the women with normal pregnancies having low birth weight and (1.6%) having a high birth weight. Also, the findings revealed a high association between the weight of neonates born to women who had High-risk pregnancies in comparison to those who were born to women who had normal pregnancies at ( P =<0.001). Conclusions

Objective. Dysmenorrhea is prevalent among adolescent girls. The aims are to report on its prevalence and study the associations between its presence, severity, and characteristics of the adolescents and their menstrual cycles. Materials and Methods. A cross-sectional study was conducted between 1/10/2022 and 1/3/2023 and included adolescents from six schools. Information about presence, characteristics, and severity of dysmenorrhea were collected. Multinomial regression was used to study associations between presence and severity of dysmenorrhea and various variables, a P-value < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results. We recruited 945 adolescents with the mean (SD) age and age of menarche being 15.3 (± 1.3) years and 12.8 (± 1.3) years, respectively. Of those recruited, 81.7% had dysmenorrhea, and its severity as measured by a numeric analogue scale was below and above the mean in 45% of the respondents. Furthermore, 14.7% missed school days during menstruation

Objective. Rh alloimmunization is a condition where antibodies develop against fetal red blood cell antigens; this can lead to severe complications. However, studies on the awareness among pregnant women about this condition remain limited. This cross-sectional study aims to assess the awareness of Rh alloimmunization among pregnant women in the north of Jordan as a preliminary step toward enhancing the quality of healthcare services provided. Materials and Methods. In this study, a total of 403 pregnant women were enrolled. Data were collected from pregnant women attending antenatal clinics at King Abdullah University Hospital and Princess Badea’a Hospital using a validated questionnaire. The questionnaire covered various aspects including demographics, awareness of blood type, current pregnancy history, anti-D immunoglobulin administration, and knowledge of Rh alloimmunization. Data analysis was conducted using Statistical Package for Social Sciences

Objective. Despite the advanced surgical techniques in managing ovarian cancer, there is no improvement in its early detection. This study aims to evaluate the performance of the IOTA-ADNEX Model in adnexal masses with high-risk malignancy index in correlation with the gold standard histopathological diagnosis in Egyptian sitting. Materials and Methods. A prospective study included 150 women with ultrasound diagnosis of unilateral or bilateral adnexal mass and had a high-risk malignancy index, for which surgery was planned. Ultrasound was performed using the IOTA-ADNEX model and a total score was given to each patient. All patients had surgical staging, and a definitive histopathological diagnosis was reached. Results. Moderate agreement between the IOTA-ADNEX Model and the histopathological results where the Kappa coefficient = 0
